Great Professional Quality Mic for Streaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great desktop microphone that is well suited for streaming. The base is heavy and the mic is certainly a quality build. Other positives are the mic has great sound, and is easy to setup and begin using immediately. The downsides are the design in that the volume control knobs feel kind of loose, the USB cable that attaches to the bottom of the mic drags against the base (poor fit), and the mic does not come with a foam cover. These negative points keep it from receiving a five-star rating.

Love It
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It sounds and works great. I love it. I was lucky bit to have the issue with the bad USB cable that many others had. But I did run into a big headache with having to fix the computer and software programs. This Mic will not work if the sample rates aren't identical across all your audio settings. Once you get it set up though, it's a great microphone. I even use the headphone monitoring port as an aux audio out with the Mic plugged into a USB power brick and you can use it without a computer.

Impeccable build quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is built like a tank, so much so that people with toddlers running around should be worried about the toddler and not this mic. It sounds great. My only issue is that the USB cable has a noise filter on it and it's causing the cable going in to the mic a stressful bend.

Well made, but apparent driver issues
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited at the prospect of recording voiceovers and gaming with this microphone... build quality appears to be excellent and it's a solid, well built mike. I like that it has the ability to plug in a guitar or other musical device and record that with voice. The Samson is heavy and made of solid metal parts; very little plastic in its construction. The only problem; I could not get windows 10 to recognize it after plugging the usb connector into my computer. It doesn't appear in audio and has a error mark in device manager. Tried downloading devices and software from Samson and still the mic has no output into computer and doesn't even show up as an option to select in audio settings. So disappointing! Had to return it ... got a Yeti instead which doesn't seem quite as well built, but it worked immediately plug and play when I hooked up the USB into my Windows 10 computer. I wish it worked because I thought it demonstrated great value for the money, excellent quality of build, it just doesn't operate with my Windows 10 computer!

Amazing recording quality, but reliability issues
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wonderful microphone quality, but I have now gone through two of these in 3 years. The first one would just start randomly disconnecting, the 2nd one after only 7 months of ownership started to make a non-stop rumbling noise on audio tracks.

Not bad
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.USB plus is starting to act funny and the green light will shut off and you have to plug it back in. I have tired in many USB ports. It is the mics connection to the USB that is weakness ng overtime.

Could be great, is disappointing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this microphone for streaming. With a little playing around with filters it sounds amazing, however this mic was repeatedly crashing games and my streams. Turns out the USB that this microphone comes with is faulty and would intermittently short power causing my computer to switch sound sources messing with my applications that were relying on the microphone. This resulted in several issues while live for a couple weeks until I was able to troubleshoot this and see others were having the same issue. Fortunately I had a spare USB a to b cable already so testing and fixing the issue was minor for me. Buyer beware.

Windows 10 Computer Did Not Two Of These Mics
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought and tried two of these yesterday - neither were recognized at all by my computer. Nothing in Device Manager at all, not even even Unknown/Unrecognized Device. Total paperweights. Checked on the Internet, appears to be defective USB cables that were shipped with the mics. People are using their own cables and then Windows instantly recognizes the mics. Not gonna do that, I returned both mics and got a Yeticaster. Yeti is not quite as good a mic, but it's quality control is much better and the Yeticaster was a great value at $170.99.

Great Microphone, Poor USB Connection
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great microphone, however the USB connection on the bottom is defective. I have had problems with the USB Connection twice already, and I barely move the unit on my desk. Simply put they need to make a better connection.

Great Mic with one problem
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great mic for streaming, podcasts, youtube, etc. Definitely a step up from my headphone mic. The knobs do feel a bit flimsy, but i don't think its too much of an issue once you have it dialed in how you like. My one problem is that the mic does not function with the supplied USB cable. While it will receive power (lights and buttons work), Windows 10 will not recognize it. Luckily I had some extra USB-B cables lying around that DO work.

Falsely / Wrongly Advertised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.- According to the Samson tech support reply to me today, the Samson G-Track Pro is not actually a 24bit 96kHz Microphone, neither single channel or two. I have spent weeks waiting for a response from Samson Tech Support, only to find out it will not work at 24bit @ 48kHz, but will only at 16bit @ 96kHZ, (dual channel), or 24bit @ 48kHz. But, even at 16bit, I feel that a low latency kernel mode driver should have been provided. - There are no kernel mode low latency drivers. - The Serial Number for the product is on the outside of the box, (for other people to unlock the software), and it takes a few tech support calls to actually get the software that is supposed to come with it. - Warranty registration, etc., online support, etc., feels very hacked together, (which is probably how the serial numbers - on the outside of the boxes), may have been used by others to unlock the software before you buy it, (or probably through a website brute force attack). All of these issues have been raised with Samson tech support, but nothing at all appears to have changed. Regardless of the quality of the mic - (which I haven't even gotten around to testing because of this issue), I do not recommend it - because of the business practices alone.

Mic won't connect...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've bought two of these mics in a row now from BestBuy and neither will connect with my computer. Don't know the issue. The cables look fine. I have an old cable from a prior G-Track Pro and it connects just fine. Batch of bad cables?
