Disappointing!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the others who commented before me, several of us wasted money on this range hood under the assumption it would communicate with the gas stove. Only to find out later, after the fact that it does not so a lot of $$ wasted when a similiar alternative was available - Model # 6372680 instead! Disappointed is an understatement. It is also very loud even on low for the minimal airflow that it pulls. The low setting should be a lot quieter than it is. Disappointed in all of the Samsung appliances I purchased! After only 2 years of use the broiler on the oven even isnt working correctly!

If your range hood is making a normal type of noise, but it's just very loud, service is not required. In general, you should hear more airflow noise than you hear motor noise, but this can vary depending on the kind of duct you have, how long it is, and how many bends.

Samsung kitchen appliances will break!

This range hood is broken (we are told it's an issue with the bearings). A replacement motor is more than $300. We bought this as part of a bundle of Samsung appliances, and I was really hoping the bad reviews were overblown and that we would get lucky, but we very much did not; we also just had to replace the Samsung dishwasher we got at the same time. Don't be an optimist! Go with another brand of kitchen appliances!
