    Not clear, frosted screen

    I bough it last year for daily use, most on coding, this monitor is not good, the screen looks like a frosted screen, or steam on the glass, not clear and make eyes tired very soon. Hard to just the position, the stand is a fixed stand, you can not adjust the height, angel, you have to use another stand if you want to have a better view angel. Color is not good, not like a MacBook Pro screen. I will never buy Samsung monitors.

    I can't figure out how to play audio from this. Sometimes, the screen turns off and I need to unplug my laptop from it. Can be tedious.

    I’m using this monitor for photo editing and it is awesome!!!! extra sharp and very bright. the colors are a bit to saturated but other than that works pretty good!!!

    The cable connection to desktop is really bad. If I left for a meeting or lunch and the screen locks, when I came back, I can't reactive the screen by moving mouse, just like all other screens do. I need to plug in the cable again. Contacted Samsung about 3 months ago, the replaced the cable, but it totally didn't work. I used a tape to tie the cable to it. Now I can't stand and ship it to Samsung to repair. Hope it solves the problem.

      Thank you for purchasing the Samsung U32J590 Monitor. I am very sorry to hear that you experienced difficulties with your display.

      The following could help to solve the issue of the monitor having difficulty coming out of sleep mode.

      1. Check if your Graphics Card has any updates available. If updates are available, install them. If you require help installing your graphics card updates, please contact your graphics card manufacturer.

      2. Perform a Windows Update. To visit Microsoft's online update page, and then follow all on-screen prompts.

      3. Install the available software for your monitor with below steps.

      - Be sure to insert the USB disk into the USB 1 port. You can upgrade the software via USB only if either the monitor screen operates normally or the check signal is displayed on the monitor screen.
      When the screen as shown in the following figure is displayed, press and hold the Down arrow key for 5 seconds.
      - When the message as shown in the following figure is displayed on the monitor, select Yes to upgrade the software.
      - When the screen as shown in the following figure is displayed, select Yes.
      - The software upgrading proceeds

      4. This issue may be caused by your signal cable. Try using a different cable to verify if your cable is defective.

    Decent 4k monitor for the price, colors a bit washed out. Took a bit of tuning but got it acceptable.

    I would definitely not buy this again. The monitor displays colors, sure. But here are my main issues: 1) Everything seems like there's just too much white. The blacks are more like gray than black. I've tried calibrating the crap out of it and I can't get blacks to appear black. 2) Every time my laptop or computer goes to sleep, the monitor shuts off and you it won't turn back on when you wake up the computer. My other monitor will come on but this one will stay off unless I physically turn it off and turn it back on. 3) For some reason, there are only 3 preset gamma settings. You can't actually adjust gamma on a slider like every other setting

    Open box didn't work

    This is not a review of the monitor. I was about to buy it online when Best Buy's site showed an open box for $30 less so I bought that one and had it shipped. It did not work when it arrived. No text prompts showed on the screen as they should have when HDMI cables were unhooked. The monitor did nothing. Hooked it to two computers and nothing. The "condition" BB listed did not say it was repaired or refurbished, just an open box which means it was a straight return or a display item. Apparently, the monitor wasn't tested to see if it worked before reselling it. Waste of over two hours setting up, testing, troubleshooting, repacking, driving to a Best Buy to return and buy a new one. Try harder, Best Buy.
