    I am currently using an HP ZR30w 30" IPS QHD monitor which I've had near zero complaints about going on ~8 years. I've reached a point with work and online media that 4k makes sense now as my main driver. I decided to start low (bang:buck ratio) and work my way up in the 4k realm. My primary criteria is 4k, 32" FreeSync, sub 7ms response time and excellent Adobe spectrum coverage with good viewing angles as cheap as possible. Having read numerous positive personal online reviews, I gleefully tossed this into my BB basket and set up a pickup order from one of our local BB that had it in stock. Once we arrived at the store, before picking it up, I wandered over to the monitor display section to see it in person. The writing was on the wall as it was sitting next to the LG IPS 27" 4k display, showing the same content, and the LG absolutely destroyed it in visual performance. This wasn't the top end model LG either. Still, with a proper calibration things could be different, right? Once I arrived back home I eagerly unboxed this beast. Size wise, this is definitely bigger than my older display and much lighter. Build quality is not that great but passable. My display had no bad pixels or any outward screen defects. From a distance (2+ yards away) media looked very nice in 4k. This display would be great for a dedicated console and program viewing from at least 2+ yards away as view angle issues lessen when viewed this way on a VA panel. Gaming on this display is pure joy compared to my HP ZR30w that I never realized I needed in my life in terms of synchronization. The problems are as follows: HDMI screen kept timing out while gaming (screen would go blank, disconnect, reconnect and then display) intermittently when connected to my Radeon Vega 64. This only happened while gaming and not in normal desktop use. I tried to duplicate this on an older 27" HP 1080p display I keep as a backup and did not have this problem. I switched to display port and the issue went away. No HDR (which makes sense, see next) Very poor brightness. The product listing says 270cd/m2 which it is not. Some online reviews have measured it at ~210-220cd/m2 and this seems more inline. It's passable but certain games with dark lighting (Diablo 3 for example) or movies lacked that bright "pop" when needed. Color coverage was not on par with my ~8-9 yr old display which does 94% Adobe (which is to be expected to a degree based on cost). This display is right around 83% and it showed. Certain image tests showed pronounced banding whereas my older display showed none. This was post calibration. Both displays boast 10-bit color. Even calibrated, reds are a little overpowered in classic Samsung style. Finally, and most importantly, the viewing angles are pretty horrific. Sitting straight on, left and right sides of the screen are mildly washed out. Actual viewing angle on this display is 20 degrees at best horizontally before your image starts to cloud/degrade. While gaming, I actually would move my head side to side and watch the immediate content in front of my clear up like magic while anything to my immediate right or left became cloudy and washed out. Online reviews back this up. This isn't only a Samsung issue for low to mid level 4k displays. It is a problem with some VA panels that this display uses. While it is a step up from the older TN panels, IPS is really preferred for minimal image degradation while viewing/working up close. It is because of the reasons listed above I will be returning this display and continue my hunt for the best bang:buck. I'll be shifting my next price point by $300 upward and begin anew. I know my standards might be outlandish, but I figure I'll be using whatever display I end up with for 5+ years (if not more), so I want to make sure it is something that won't drive me batty.

    3+ year review great purchase with limits

    The monitor is a great purchase for a person looking for a bigger screen and high resolution, the panel is bright and clear and plenty of io. I have used the monitor daily for 3 years now; the only thing I have to regret is the 60 hz but price to size it good.

    Great Picture Quality

    I had recently purchased a Samsung T55 series curved monitor for home use to be powered my my 2020 MacBook Air. The color blue was purple and I was unable to fix the issue. The monitors I was actually interested in looking at were not working at the BestBuy location. I had left this in a review on the BestBuy website, and the next day I received a call from the manager Keith, who actually took the time to review my post and call me, and explained the stockman on the night shift broke the power strip causing some monitors to not work, however Keith did give me help with troubleshooting, and said I may return if the monitor if I wasn't 100% satisfied. I returned to the Store location In Brandon, Florida and purchased a 32" UHD Samsung 4K monitor to use with my MacBook Air. The picture quality coming from that T55 series monitor was stellar, absolutely spot on, crystal clear, and also no more blur, just a world of difference!! The monitor assembly was simple, just plug and play. The adjustment toggle button on the back the new monitor was also better made, and easy to use. I would recommend this computer.

    It capped at 24hz. It can barely be called 4K. It was 144p max. Disappointed. Plus had a weird black line right down the middle. Just awful.

    Great Purchase

    I looked at this monitor vs a 28inch 4k monitor and went into the store to look at them both. I ended up taking home this 32-inch 4k unit and I love it. At first, I thought the 32 inch would be too big but its just right. I have my PC and Xbox one x on this unit and image quality is amazing. The product notes no headphone jack but it does have one that is hooked up to my beats for sound. My only dislike about this monitor is that the little joystick in the back to navigate is not very responsive to my liking also would be nice to be able to select a source from a dedicated button without having to use this little joystick. But overall very happy with the purchase.

    Pros: Great Picture No bad pixels. Fast response rate. Great for gaming and very crisp, readable type for Cons: It uses a small external power brick. Would prefer internal power supply. The power connector from brick to monitor would occasionally slip out. Easily solved by soft piece of foam cut to keep power connector from falling out.

    Almost Perfect But Nothing Is

    Purchased this monitor to link up with my Mac Air and do some casual gaming with my XBOX series X. It has been great. The colors and clarity are fantastic and it really brings the games to life. My only con for this monitor is the joystick button thing on the back. It can be a little difficult switching between HDMI ports some times. Some times it registers perfectly that I'm trying to switch but other times the joystick doesn't register. Overall a great product!
