Great TV but connectivity problems

First night, wife asked why I left on, I didn’t. As next day progressed with much testing, the thing would not stay off. Did get it to stay off when disconnected from every thing. Tried Tech Support but they were little help. Probably needs future firmware update. Took back two days later. Issue suspected to be conflict with TV and my provider, one I was not willing to arbitrate. Internet search revealed this not an uncommon problem. Would not recommend until after firmware update.

When turned on the interface to the Samsung soundbar should power up the amp. This happens if the TV is turned on from a no power mode. If the TV is asleep when you turn the TV the Samsung soundbar does not wake. Geez, that stinks. 2. The apps that support a mouse are forced into the Left Right or Up Down I would likely return the unit for one with an "Air mouse" capable remote/

Where I have problems is with the TV’s interaction with my AppleTV box. For example if I am using Bluetooth headphones with my appletv, when I go to increase or decrease volume, it does not work. I have an older Samsung plasma tv that does not have this same problem.

I have FIOS, so the video stream feeding into the tv is only 1080. In this case the tv needs to make the conversion (upscaling) so that it can be viewed. Instead of a great picture, it was actually not crisp. Text was blurry. I believe that it would be better to buy a regular HD tv, so I returned this one. Also the sound was very poor compared to my current analogue crt tv - an old Panasonic.So a soundbar would be needed to have good audio. I liked the smart remote. And I suspect this tv would be very good paired with a BluRay player or a faster speed carrier connection.

Little Disappointed

Set up was relative easy, but am really disappointed with the tv sound. The sound cuts out, you may watch or an hour with no issues, but then the sound cuts out. Netflix is so bad I finally had to stop watching. Not sure I made the right decision on this one. Love the remote/

No one ever ask about the router,which was key. Advice to smart tv users on wifi: get a new generation high performance router. It'll save you hours of frustration.

What get's me is this is NOT a good TV for gaming - Refresh rate is a made up number and meaningless. If you plan on gaming with this look elsewhere. sort of disappointed playing TGC2.
