Using it as a glorified computer monitor

In the defense of the lower priced 6-series, this product may not be worth the extra money. I bought it on sale during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday period, so the costs were buffeted a bit. $100 extra at the $200-$300 price point is a lot more significant than if it was in comparing larger TVs the $800-$900 range. If you’re looking to use it as an oversized computer monitor, this panel does a great job. I am sitting about 1.5 feet away from the screen and everything looks sharp, scrolling is smooth. The stock TV speakers are good enough, unless you are going to listen to music for an extended period of time. I like going this route instead of buying a traditional computer monitor for its “Smart” capabilities. It’s still a great TV on top of a decent enough monitor. This makes it a very versatile and useful product. When I’m don’t computing, I can watch sharp YouTube videos, Netflix or live TV. I use it Dex mode with a Samsung phone too. Everything is seemless, perfect device for me and my needs.

We had the best sales person. He never pressured us to purchase more than we needed for the size of our television viewing room. And he helped us make intelligent decisions about our future with Best Buy. We are thrilled with our television. What a gorgeous picture, and just the right size for our room.

Haven’t had it long, but as of now I give it 4 stars. Great tv. I love the navigation of it and the easy set up. The remote does lag as some other interviews have stated. I hope a update can fix that soon. Man reason why I gave it 4 stars is because the other night I turned my tv on and it said no network connection. All my other devices, iPads and etc were still working great on my WiFi, so the tv should’ve been too. I unplugged the tv multiple time, restored it to factory settings and everything. Even restarted my WiFi. Still no WiFi connection to the tv. Finally I decided the change my WiFi password on my internet and behold it connected again. Found that very annoying and strange. Hope it never happens again. Hope Samsung come out with a update to fix the things like that soon.

Although the first unit had a black stripe across one side, replacing it was easy with Best Buy. I waited a month to write this review just to make sure all was well. This TV is crystal clear and easy to use. We do more streaming and the options are great. Highly recommend this TV and Best Buy!

This is my main source of entertainment because it is the first thing I see when I wake up and the last thing I see when I go to sleep. It is a perfect size for a medium sized bedroom in a Baltimore row house. The picture quality is superb and you can't beat a Samsung.

Bought this to put up on the wall in my office, picture quality is great and I really like the "Ambient" mode feature where it displays a picture at a dim brightness when not in use. It is a very light-weight TV as well, I had no problem mounting it up on the wall by myself. Highly recommended!

    Cannot uninstall pre-installed apps; sluggish

The Samsung Class 8 was painful to use. The interface is not terribly interutive which is a little frustrating, but one could get used to it. Netflix and similar apps lag when loading, and generally the television functionality is a bit sluggish. However. The death kneel was the fact that I could not delete apps that were pre-installed. Worse, those apps which I could not delete were taking up storage space in the television! Limiting my ability to download new apps because I'll always have to contend with those pre-installed. At that point I put it back in the box, returned it and bought an LG. It's a beautiful picture, nice television, lightweight and a good price, but grossly underpowered, with a frustrating interface that hamstrings you from the start.

The sound and picture on this TV are great! It was easy to setup and program. We liked it so much that we bought the 50" one to replace another TV in the house. The gamers in the house love the display and sound quality. We used to use a sound bar on the old TV, but don't need it anymore.

The picture is great and the size is perfect. I really like the super thin bezel. Setup took almost an hour with all the license agreements they want you to accept before being allowed to use the smart features. Also, the Hulu app is currently having issues and crashes after each episode forcing you to restart the TV to watch again.

I replaced a 60 inch Toshiba Flatscreen with this new 43 inch Samsung "Crystal" and this set is not only visiously gorgeous . . . . it is extremely capable of great colors and very sharp coordination as well! It streams-in both popular Movie and News channels, in addition to having a cable hook-up of "LAN" for Internet access through a router, modem, laptop or desktop computer! It is put together not only wisely but very patiently as well! While this set is smaller than my previous Toshiba flatscreen, it is indeed much more stable on its mount of much stronger feet and has a processing unit that is 3 Billion times faster and much more smarter than the other! It can be set to ALWAYS tranfers data in "4K" Smart Mode, even though it is of the 8K Smart Television Level! It contains voice direction of a male or female person, runs extraordinarily well with XBOX, PLAYSTATION OR ATARI Gamesets and can be controlled by your smartphone! GREAT BUY!

We needed a tv for an area where we had size constraints. We are not gamers. This tv fits our needs beautifully and cost $200 less than the other model we were considering. We are Samsung fans, and we try to stay with this brand whenever possible. Very happy with this tv.

The picture on this tv is really great. That said, the stand legs are awful, so I bought a stand for it(25 bucks) on amazon that screws on the back and has cables to the wall so it doesn't fall. I hate the new remote, it doesn't do much. Fortunately my nice remote for my samsung 4k dvd player works fine with the tv. Navigating thru the apps and options is difficult the way the software for this tv is set up. It could have been so much easier, terrible design. I much prefer my 4k toshiba firetv. Had to reset sound settings because the default had the background sounds higher than the dialog. And that didn't help much. Maybe will have to get a soundbar. I don't think i would purchase this particular tv again , in hindsight. I had the 2019 version of this same tv, same size, cheaper and it was much nicer. But ya know, just like microsoft they gotta keep messing with a good thing until it isn't.

Great value and pic quality. The only thing is that the power cord is not very long. It was very simple to setup, my phone found it right away and we had it setup in minutes. We were concerned about buying a TV without seeing it first (bought it during the pandemic) but the pic quality is great. The entire buying process and pickup was great during this crisis and we're thankful that we were able to get the TV with no contact during the pickup!

Easy to setup and put in passwords for the different apps. Sound quality is excellent. It is a whole new experience in watching TV. It is almost as if you were actually watching live in person. One of the best devices for the best price I could have gotten anywhere.

I'm amazed at the low prices on TV's in today's world AND am even more amazed at the technology that is built into these Samsung products. Setup was a breeze, connecting to our home network was quick and easy....all in all, very impressive TV for the price!

So far, the tv is wonderful. The picture is great, relatively easy to get set up and sync . My issue is with the remote. It needs more buttons. It's really awkward and frustrating to manipulate. Too time consuming. Also haven't yet figured out how to get my DVD player to work with no mode or input selection.
