Much better than the Toshiba it replaced. It performs well in dark environments because of its good contrast, but it has only decent black uniformity. Sadly, it has narrow viewing angles.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the picture quality of your TU690T TV. In addition to the several picture modes on your TV, you may also want to try adjusting additional picture settings if your picture is not to your liking.
You can go to Home > Settings > Picture > Expert Settings and configure the TV settings to your taste with functions such as Brightness, Contrast, Sharpness, Color, Tint (G/R), and many more.

It took about 2 weeks to get used to it. Don't know if its because I bought open box but the tv turns off every once in a while. In about the 3 weeks that I've owned this, the tv has turned off about 5 to 6 times. It also has Bluetooth issues, if you are watching Hulu and it comes back from ads the audio has to resync again so you cant hear anything for about 3 or 4 seconds and if you try to rewind you have to rewind further back to a scene you already watched because the audio has to resync if you rewind too. I'm using Bluetooth with a sound bar maybe if you connect and optical audio cable to the sound bar it will be better for you

We appreciate your purchase and feedback on the TU690T TV. I'm sorry that you are having a power cycling issue where your TV repeatedly turns on and off by itself. Please try a few troubleshooting steps that may help solve the issue:
1) Check the power cable for damage and proper connection.
2) If the cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it), or damaged, this is likely the cause of the issue. Replace the cable.
3) Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
4) If the power cycling allows enough time between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest firmware. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes, depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.
If the issue persists after these steps, the TV will likely need service. Please contact us so we can better investigate your issue and assist you with a solution or replacement.
