The lowest timer to set for unused time is 4 hours, I wanted about 30 minutes. The bells and whistles are good for this price and brand. Samsung offered some channels to check out.

Thanks for choosing Samsung and providing us with feedback on the Parental Controls. There are a few features that allow you to control what your children watch.
Using the Program Rating Lock function can help control what programs children can watch on the TV based on their ratings. This does not block programs from external sources such as Blu-ray players, DVD players, or USB files.
Go to: Settings > Broadcasting > Program Rating Lock Settings.
When you access Program Rating Lock Settings, you just enter the security PIN. You must also enter this PIN to watch a blocked program. The default PIN is “0000”. To change the PIN, go to Settings > General > System Manager > Change PIN.
Although the Auto Power Off feature allows you to turn off your TV automatically after four or more hours of inactivity, you can utilize the Sleep Timer Function, which will turn your TV off after 30 (or more) minutes. Go to Settings> General> System Manager> Sleep Timer.

I downgraded from a 55" to this 43" because the other screen the other was getting dull. I rapidly adjusted to the size.

The Samsung hooked up to our internet\wifi provider and worked perfectly. Without reservation I highly recommend this TV.

I live in a bad area for TV signals. I replaced a Toshiba tv which I liked much better. I don't know if I gained any signals w/Samsung, as I would have to have them up at the same time on the same station. I really miss the feature to be able to switch from a Roku channel to a TV channel w/previous button. This only goes to last tv station. Maybe this is because I do not like the smart TV for streaming. I have Roku and would have to setup every service I use, Couldn't be bothered. This smart tv was the cheapest Samsung, wondering why. Would think it would be more expensive. Maybe some other people don't like them either? These criticisms many not be valid on regular Samsung models.

After researching products online went to Asheville store. Was greeted by Martino in TV section, very knowledgeable man and very pleasant. He was mainly concerned that I got what I wanted without any pressure tactics yet made sure I had everything I expected of the Samsung TV and Xbox. Pleasant conversation and the sale was done. One Christmas shopping adventure that was actually fun.. Happy Holidays to all. Will use this store again.

It has a great picture and sound. It’s very easy to operate once it’s set up, which is not hard. Lots of options I haven’t gotten to yet. I have always had great experience with Samsung. I did get the same extended warranty and used it because my tv runs all day and most of the night, seven days a week.

Giving it one star short of 5 for the initial setting up. I have several smart TVs none of which are Samsung. This was the most confusing setup I’ve seen. It appears you have to sign up for a Samsung account and supply a credit card. I didn’t complete setup as a result. I mostly use this as a monitor for my Apple TV. I don’t feel I should have to pay nor have to have a Samsung account. I don’t for my other TVs and I use apps on those. I’m an IT professional and do not consider the setup to be user friendly unless maybe you hand over your credit card.
