I had initially thought my picture settings were wrong but it wasn't The case. Luckily it was around my birthday so i had some bday money. This tv is AWESOME. Picture quality is probably the best ive ever experienced on a tv ive owned. It came highly recommended by the best buy employee and was actually cheaper than the tv i had initially thought about buying. (That tv had known durability issues) The Samsung was even on sale for $400. It even left me enough money to buy a new high speed HDMI cable. Games look great (i primarily use it for my xbox one s) movies and video look incredible right out of the box. I didn't have to mess with the picture settings and the settings are still the same to this day. My only minor issue is there's only 2 HDMI ports but it was quickly forgiven. If you dont need a huge screen tv. DEFINITELY consider this one. Its 43 inches which is still substantial. This tv even gets regular updates from Samsung. Ive been a loyal brand customer for years and have NEVER had an issue with anything. Even my VCR (remember those?) Was a Samsung and i ended up giving it away to a friend because i dont watch vhs anymore. They STILL have it today and it still works great!

Unfortunately, I cannot use it for my camera monitor because the TV that it would be connected to is also a Samsung. They are on the same frequency. Therefore, I switched TV's with my son. I am searching for a bargain on another Samsung to use as a monitor for my outdoor cameras. It would be connected to a Phillips TV and would not be on the same frequency as Samsung.

I’m sorry that your screen exhibited damage upon unboxing and setup. Unfortunately, even if a TV is double-boxed and the packaging shows no evidence of harm, a TV can still be damaged during transit if proper care is not taken. For example, damage could have been done if the TV were sitting in an incorrect orientation – laid on its side or tilted – during transit.

I wanted to get her something nice to watch her drama shows. She does everything for us. This tv is so clear and right for out budget. You should really consider Samsung budget friendly with a great picture quality.
