Customers love the large capacity, cleaning performance, quiet operation, and ease of use of this 5.0 Cu. Ft. 11-Cycle High-Efficiency Top-Loading Washer. However, some customers mentioned that the washer's depth may be inconvenient for shorter individuals, and that the spin cycle and balance could be improved. A few users also reported experiencing issues with the machine's reliability. The small agitator size was also noted as a potential drawback by some users.

Enormous Washing Machine

I was interested in the washer because of the large capacity. I was sick of going to the laundromat to wash the comforters for the beds since they did not fit in my stackable. This washer has an enormous capacity since it does not have a center agitator. The clothes come out clean and the machine is incredibly quiet. My laundry area is right off the kitchen/dining area and you can barely hear it running. When people say it is difficult to get clothes out of the bottom of the washer since it is so deep, that is very true. At 6 feet tall I am bent all the way over to get the socks at the bottom of the load. My one complaint so far is that for very small loads the washer has trouble balancing for the spin. It goes out of balance due to uneven distribution of clothes and then it will not spin. Otherwise it is awesome.

There is rust developing around the bleach dispenser area. The machine creates a burning smell when there is bedding placed into the machine and the machine tries to clean it.

We bought a house and within 6 months needed to replace the washer that was left here. Anyway, we went to Best Buy and found an excellent washer and even bought the dryer. The washer is so quiet compared to any other unit we have owned. The washer is so much bigger inside. My wife laughs at how she practically climbs inside to get the laundry, At first we noticed that the washer wasn't filling up with water, but after reading the documentation more in depth, we found that the washer senses the right amount of water required for each load! Amazing! We own horses and wash the horse pads, blankets, wraps, etc. and this unit handles them with ease. The unit also has a freshen/clean cycle that really works, keeping the washer clean. Some of our clothes, like jackets are waterproof and the washer has a setting to wash them without removing the waterproofing. It WORKS. Basically, this washer works. It does what it's supposed to but much better and more efficiently than any washer we have owned. I am sure that there are other washers out there that cost a lot more, but I couldn't imagine the need to with all the capabilities, ease if use and efficiency this washer has provided us. Oh and you can actually use your phone to monitor/use this washer also. Convenient if you don't want to be in proximity of the washer but know when it's done. Or maybe you want/need to delay the cycle. We haven't used the phone app yet, so we can't comment on that, yet.

Great Value for Great Technology

I'm not someone to chase new appliances for style. Our dryer had had it and the washer was pretty old as well. Doing some research I realized that the technology behind washers has improved in the last 10 years. The new models like this without an agitator are better for your clothes. I'm guessing that is why this machine is so much quieter than the ones I have used my whole life. We can now wash clothes with the laundry room door open without annoyance. The capacity of this unit seems 50% larger than any machine I have used in the past. Before now I would usually have to break up the towels into two loads. I think the reason all of this surprises me is that it only costs $599. And although I don't chase style this baby is stylish too. I thought you had to pay $1,000 for such benefits. This is a great buy.

I previously had a Whirlpool washer & after less than 3 years i started having issues. When Geek squad came out they advised to just get a new one( glad i had the insurance) After doing some research i finally decided on the Samsung. I absolutely love it! It’s quiet and washes very well. It fits comforters and even my dogs bed.

I went from a front loading back to a top loading. With a front loading washing machine, my clothes always came out smelling musty and they never felt clean. Yes, I did empty the water out every 2 weeks from the bottom tube and sanatized it every month, but nothing worked. So I went back to a front loading. This machine works great, very efficient, close come out smelling fresh and the unit is so quiet.. the only problem, and it isn’t with me. If you are short like my wife is, she’s only about 5’2, I’m 6’3, she isn’t able to reach to the bottom of the tub to remove the clothes. She has to use a stool to the clothes out of the bottom.

It’s almost too tall for me to reach the random stray sock but I love having he bigger tub! Works great for king size comforters! Cleans well, no smell like with frount loaders, quiet, and actually finishes the job in the estimated time given at the start (unlike front loaders).

Had to replace a Cabrio washer suddenly with this one and am so glad I did. This machine is extremely quiet and cleans very well. Large tub handles virtually any size load. Highly recommend, especially when on sale.

The installation of the Samsung Washer and Dryer was easy. After a month of using it we are happy with the performance. Easy to operate, quiet, and gets clothes clean. The dryer can handle a large load of towels coming out dry. No cons as of yet.

Definitely buy on sale! Overall, great and I'm satisfied. It's quiet, has the features that I want, just the right size for my loads of laundry, and works well. Install was great, but I did purchase a warranty just in case. The only small complaint I have is for my size (5'3) I definitely can't reach all the way to the bottom, so I have to tipy toe, and sometimes heave myself inside, to get the socks or small items at the very bottom.

Worth the Hype

Read and follow the instructions to do the setup. This machine must be properly calibrated before using because it weighs each load to determine water level. I suspect the people having issues with water level did not do the calibration.
I love this washer! It’s quiet, it cleans my clothes, and there are many, MANY different combinations of water temp, spin, pre-soak, etc. I will say that high spin really sucks the water out of the load so don’t use it on delicate fabrics.
I’m 5’3” and I can barely reach the bottom of the drum to scoop out socks. It helps if I manually turn the drum so the items are in the front. It’s not a big deal but if you’re shorter you’ll need a rubber-tipped grabber or tongs.

Large enough to wash king size comforters and very quiet. It is also very deep, so a shorter person might use assistance in getting items from the bottom.

I absolutely love this washer. I have only rented washers before or gone to the public laundry so this was my first. I am 5'8" so reaching to the bottom of this washer to get the clothes out is not that big of a deal for me. But if you don't really have a good reach then you might want to invest in a step stool to get the clothes from the bottom. The quick wash is pretty quick. I love how quiet this machine is. I am really happy with this product. If this didn't give much help i apologize, i just wanted to give Samsung a big Kudos for this washer.

Best Buy had this on sale for $550 and I saw almost all good reviews. I see there was a recall on this model and my Best Buy delivery guy assured me this one was not under recall. He checked. That was the first of my good experience with this purchase and delivery. It was delivered by two men in the Best Buy truck. One mostly unloaded while the other hooked up and ran it to test for complete operation. He also went through a total explanation of all the cycles and particulars of the workings of this model. Pretty cool, huh?! Once they knew I was knowledgeable about what I bought, they totally cleaned up everything and left me with my paperwork. Really outstanding experience. Got MY business! Having now owned the washer for about eight weeks, I can say I am very please with its operation and the level of clean it produces. Excellent value for $550.

This is a great washer. It is quiet compared to the 17 year old washer we replaced and it fits our family of three well.
The only two cons I have are the sounds and tub size. I know you can turn the sounds off and maybe I'm just used to a buzzer going off, but I'm not sure I need a full song played when my wash is done. The tub size is very deep and holds ALOT, but I'm 5'6 and can barely get clothes out from the bottom.
Nothing majorly wrong, just little gripes. Otherwise a fantastic washer
