After doing a lot of research, I decided that the 8000 was the way to go. Outstanding picture, easy set up, great value for the price. I highly recommend this tv. You won't be disappointed.

I did endless research on 4K televisions recently and repeatedly ended up at this one. I am very happy with it! The picture quality, performance, and features are outstanding. I was surprised by the blacks it's able to produce, in addition to the vibrant colors. The 4K content on Netflix and Amazon looks fantastic, as well as games on the PS4 Pro. The upscaling engine is also very good and makes non-4K content look quite good. I could go on and on about various aspects of it but I'll just say that it's a great TV. It's also nice looking - looks very premium. The only real negative I can think of is that the smart remote can be tricky to set up with your other devices. I managed to get everything working the way I like though. I definitely suggest checking this one out if you're in the market for a 4K TV in this price range.

Picture quality is excellent, but must be set up correctly. Look online and find explanations on how to set picture settings for HDR. Smart options are great, lots of apps. Sleek design. Love the one connect box for wire management.

Nothing short of amazing...beautiful design, colors, and very fast...one connect is very useful and easy to use...This is a great TV for now and the future...could use a few more apps.

Bottom line - this television meets and surpasses most of my expectations. Before purchasing this set I read the reviews of many other Best Buy customers who settled on this TV and compared it to other competing manufacturers. The picture and sound quality is great, and the remote is fantastic! I would recommend this TV to anyone who is interested in seeing the clarity of 4K. One negative might be the spacing between the stands which are near each end of the set. It's not a deal breaker though and easy enough to fix. Another negative of sorts is the sequence of eight or nine steps to set the sleep timer that a few other customers have also found to be slightly irritating. The Best Buy staff at the store was very helpful and knowledgeable in helping me to decide on this product.

We upgraded to this tv recently and love it! It's very thin which we wanted in the even we move and mount it to a wall. Crisp picture. Black blacks. The remote is easy to use and user friendly. Overall it's a great TV.

After researching the different TVs it came down to the question of value vs quality. In the store I checked out all the models I saw online and basically noticed that if you just wanted a new TV at a certain size, you could find many at an amazing price. If you wanted the best picture, you had a couple options. Basically Samsung and LG have developed their own technologies that create a brighter and vivid picture. For the size I wanted (55), I was looking at the 1400-2000 range for either. Samsung was a bit more affordable, and the employee let me apply the advertised Black Friday discount a week before to get it down to 1000. Overall very happy with the help in store, the quality of the product, and the price seems to be worth it for what you get.

This is the best TV I ever owned, the quality and design are stunning. The picture and features are competitive and the pricing from Best Buy can't be beat. I highly recommend this TV. You will not be disappointed

I was in the market for a new 4k gaming TV and most online reviews pointed me to this one as the least input lag for a 4k TV...This one was not my immediate first choice until I went into a local Best Buy and inspected it in person. It is a clean minimal bezel design with a small footprint. Ultra light and I was able to install it quite easily. Ultra dark darks, and very clean colors. MY eyes are happy with my purchase. Amazing new Samsung TV Apps area keeps me binge watching for hours. Downsides: I think is the remote is a little on the light side, not backlit and it smudges up easily. Also the connection box only supports HDMI and optical. All other older components are no longer supported...but for the price, this is still an outstanding deal.

The Samsung KS8000 in and of itself is a beautiful television with a slim, silver bezel and minimalist legs for a sturdy base. The SUHD Quantum Dot Display separates itself from the entry level 4K/UDH televisions with sharp, crisp and colorful picture. There are plenty of settings to customize your television with Apps, Picture and sound customization and more. It should be noted that it comes with a separate box which has all of the HDMI/Audio Connections so you can easily hide your cords or if you mount your television you'll only have two cords to hide (power and cable from tv to connections box). I would recommend this television looking for a mid-level 4K television that not only performs well, but looks the part as well.

Bought this tv last year and I love it. I got it when the tv was priced at $1000, and with that I purchased an excellent-condition, certified pre-owned one (or whatever) to knock another $60 off the tv. For the price I paid, it's a great tv with Smart functions that are pretty easy to use (though this is the only Smart TV I've ever owned/used). The color on it is great and using HDR with my PS4 Pro really makes the picture on some games stand out and look absolutely amazing. I did have to make some minor adjustments to the settings since most televisions are sold with the factory/store settings in place, but after that, everything looks great. For the price, I'd recommend this tv to anyone looking for a great tv with a great picture.

I've had this tv for about a month. I love it. The picture quality is tremendous. In fact with 4k programing it is "immersive". Almost like you are in the room with the characters on screen. It is so clear and sharp details seem to pop out at you. The chrome frame and stand is elegant and timeless making it look like a modern sculpture on my black tv credenza. The 240hz refresh rate with HDR is far superior to less expensive 4k tvs with only a 120 hz refresh rate. Worth the extra money.

The colors are amazing in 4K. The remote doesn't take long to get used to. It turns on and off very fast. The smart features are intuitive and everything is customizable. I'll be sticking to Samsung in the future.

tv ultimate feature is smart tv feauture. using tv remote to manage tv, att uverse, and samsung sound bar. incredible and easy to use. screen mirror image from samsung phone. great tv all arround, fits well in a master bedroom or medium size living area. views great from any angle and 4k is surpassed my expectations.

This set delivers excellent clarity and color without spending OLED premiums. HDR adds soooo much vibrancy and intensity to colors in film while low input lag in game-mode is a delight. You won't be disappointed!

I have always a Sony Bravia setup (LED TV, 7.2 Receiver, Blu-ray player). When my TV broke after 6.5 years (too early) of use, I still replaced it with another Sony Bravia TV (the 55" 850D 2016). I had it for 5 days and loved it EXCEPT when it would randomly reboot. Three different times, in the middle of a DVD or usb movie, it would turn off and then back on. Deal breaker. Returned it, paid an additional $100 for this SAMSUNG 55" KS8000. The SONY picture was perfect right out of the box. Not so much with this SAMSUNG. Searching online I found others agreed with me and found postings for different settings that people have liked. After changing a bunch of settings and turning off a bunch of "auto" things, the picture is now AWESOME, just like the Sony. This Samsung Smart TV (Kizen) systems just crushes the Sony Android TV system. This Samsung Smart system is simple, blazing fast, intuitive, and minimalistic. Sony Android TV has too much extra bloat. My cable box appears as an App on my home screen (right next to Netflix and YouTube) which makes switching between TV and apps seamless. Netflix run very fast as well. I have Apple TV, Roku, and a smart blu-ray player that all run Netflix. This is the best and fastest Netflix experience. I saved the best for last. The remote is a sleek minimalist (think Apple TV) and universal remote. It accepted my cable box and Sony blu-ray player, and Sony 7.2 receiver. I have a Harmony 650 universal that I love but my wife only tolerates. This Samsung remote is so well integrated that I may only need this. My wife loves this remote, especially when combined with the Smart TV ease of use. The Smart TV system and the remote were the surprise benefits for me. I expected a great picture and got it after some research and fiddling.

Love the picture and the remote. Easy to use. The TV can be really bright for dark rooms, you can use the auto adjust brightness in the settings, nice feature.

We did extensive research about new 4k Smart televisions before purchasing this. We'd always had Sony before, but from all the reviews, Samsung was the way to go. Once we finally went through and did some adjustments and fine tuning to the picture (contrast, color, hue, etc.) it has a gorgeous picture and just jumps off the screen. It allows us to use all our apps like Spotify and Amazon, and we've also installed Xfinity Sampler, to get a peek at the 4k television/movies once they move to that platform. I can't wait for Xfinity to move to 4k, and for more movies to come out in 4k. We decided to be ahead of the game on this purchase, to get the TV that would be ready for all the new technology as it comes out.

Picture is beautiful, simple remote control, easy hook up and simple access to all on line apps. If you have older additional components - DVD etc be sure to pick up a converter to hook into the smart box.

Went with a 8000 series Samsung 4K as an upgrade from my 46" LCD tv., What an improvement in pix and sound. This new tv was a snap to set up. The colors just pop off the screen. Glad I went with this tv.
