Two weeks after receiving this range there are scratches and bubbling on the cooktop. Samsung will not acknowledge the defect and says it’s a cosmetic issue. I guess their ranges are expected by Samsung to be ugly. I owned my Electrolux electric range for 11 years and never had a scratch or bubbling in the glass and I cook using many different types of cookware often. Very disappointed in the quality, hopefully Best Buy will rectify this situation. I do not recommend this stove and Samsung has terrible customer service.

Hello Mjtd,

Both the range top and oven seem to only work at max heat. Even in I set the stove to low, the main burner just scorches everything. The oven is just as bad, we will try to set the temp to 5o degrees less than what the recipe calls for and take the food out several minutes early, but it's still burned. The rolls in the photo cooked for 8 minutes with the oven set to bake at just 300 degrees. The recipe called for 350 degrees for 12 minutes. Hoping Samsung's warranty process will provide a fix.
We understand the importance of the oven in preparing meals. Let's get the information you need to ensure you can maximize the functions of the range.

I recently bought this stove and the glass top looks like this after frying one time. I had my last stove for 20 years and the glass top didn’t look this way. It also takes long to boil water compared to my old Maytag oven.

This is our third stove in 15 years and easily the best one we've ever owned. We bought it for a bunch of reasons (aside from our old stove not working), starting with the Flex Duo chamber. My wife always wanted a double oven, but traditional double ovens had two small spaces to cook, which was not a goal of ours. The flexibility of separating the large main oven into two small ovens and the brilliant door design to allow access to the top oven separately is really a great feature.
We also like the controls. They are very intuitive and allow a lot of control over the cooking process.
One of my goals was Alexa integration and this stove also checks off that box. It took a bit to understand the process for connecting to the app (and then Alexa) but I figured it out rather quickly. I think this part is a work in progress, because I can use Alexa to turn on the stove (which she does) but then Alexa adds that she couldn't connect to the stove (after she did).
The oven heats up quickly and does a good job of maintaining temperature. We tend to use wireless meat thermometers (Meat Stick and Meater) and they read the ambient temperature as well as the internal meat temp, and the oven was easily in range of the target temperature the whole time.
The cooktop is well laid out and the elements heat quickly.
We have yet to try the air fryer - we use a countertop one all the time and this was a selling point, The extra Air Fryer tray is a bonus, as well as the stovetop griddle. I fried up some Pastrami on it, and the food cooked quickly and evenly. It does stay hot for a while, so be careful when picking it up after you are done cooking.
Time will tell how durable this stove is, but the design is terrific and it appears to be very well made.

This range is really nice. It does have the smart home connectivity and options I was looking for. The split oven operation takes a little getting used to. The general operation is great, heats quickly and is easy to keep clean. The included griddle is ok. I don't like how it does not have a position when in use. It just slides on the glass. If they could put a positioner for when in use, that would help. The storage drawer is small, and is really just for the accessories for the stove, nothing else. Otherwise, I would purchase again. Oh

I love the new look and how advanced it appears. Love the convection and air fryer features. I was not accustomed to how fast things cook, so some of the first items baked were more "done" than I like. Overall I love the new features. However, there are some caveats that are not clear in the promotional material about this Dual/double oven and griddle.
#1 The griddle does not stay where it is placed. When flipping or cooking, the griddle moves off the heating elements.
#2 the dual oven. The insert is great for doing Air Fryer, however regular baking (non convection), needs to have the insert removed. A bit of a hassle to remove and store.
#3 Documentation. Finding the entire user manual was extremely difficult! Took me 1.5 days of googling and searching the Samsung support website. Finally, someone pasted the full URL to download the manual that explains the features in detail.

Love, love the updated stove. I had an older model but this one is great. Plenty of room in both halves and the air fryer is a nice touch.

Its a stove and does everytbing it needs to! Have both options for air fryer and a stove is a great idea and makes it look very nice. The Griddle that was included was also a nice touch. Very happy with it!

After almost a year with the unit it's safe to say it's a perfect fit for our family.
Before we purchased we saw reviews that criticized the main top burner for being too slow to boil water and the ovens for burning pastries and muffins.
Both claims are ridiculous.
This range has 2 ovens. You can set it so that both ovens are convection ovens or just one while the other uses normal baking or you can remove the divider and use it as one huge oven that does either convection or normal baking.
When you use convection ovens you need to adjust the temps lower to account for the more efficient transfer of heat or, guess what..., you'll burn your food.
This range actually has a built in converter that you can enable that will automatically adjust the temps when you use convection cooking instead of regular baking (you can use both or either with this oven). The reason those reviewers were burning their muffins was because they did not adjust for the convection cooking. Our pastries and breads and muffins etc... have all come out great using less time and at a lower temp. We couldn't be happier.
As far as the water boiling complaint. I went to find those actual reviews and guess what, It took our stove 13 minutes to boil about 1.5 gal of water for about 3 pounds of pasta. Right in line with what the review said. According to the review the very fastest stove did it in a little bit under 10 min. Really?!? 3 minutes? A difference of 3 minutes was what they were complaining about? Please...
Our stove top is the best we have ever had and this is far from our first Glass Top Stove, This stove top has a griddle feature that amazing. You can select it to light up not just the front burner but also the space between the front and back burner. We have a lodge cast iron griddle that we use for eggs, omelets, pancakes, veggies, buns for hamburgers and hot dogs and to reheat biscuits. It works amazingly well and is fairly even all the way across the griddle. For us the best temp range is between 2-3 on both front and back burners. You probably don't want to do burgers, bacon or other meats on the griddle because of the grease spatter and smoke but all the other stuff works great using the back burner and front burner with the griddle setting. We recommend you buy a 20inch by 10.5 inch cast iron griddle if you're into using the griddle for stuff. The included griddle is ok-ish but not as good as a cast iron one. Cast iron may take 5 or 10 minutes to heat up but its worth it.
For burgers, bacon, steaks and other meats (not roasts or chicken or chops) the broiler is the best we have ever used. The broiler element is very wide and powerful. The downloadable manual has specifics for rack distance and broiler setting for many foods. We have broiled steaks, pork steaks, hamburgers, hotdogs, turkey burgers, fresh trout and bass fillets and ham steaks, This broiler rocks.
For beef roasts, pork roasts, pork chops, chicken parts (thighs, legs, breasts and chicken quarters), and whole chickens or turkeys we use the regular baking settings. We tried the convection settings for big things like roasts but they come out better when we use the regular baking settings.
This is not your fathers electric range. This range is really good at just being a range but if you're interested in some of the more advanced features they really pay off.
Download the online manual at the Samsung website and take a few minutes to read it. We were amazed and you might be too. There is a small learning curve when you start to use the convection ovens but convection baking, once you get the hang of it, is great. If you're not into the bells and whistles this range does regular baking great right out of the box.

Me and the wife are very pleased with our new range. My Wife really likes the double oven. I like the fact that it comes with a griddle and air fry basket. It heats up fast, so you don’t have to set the temperature very high. We did have to read the manual to operate the double oven, but otherwise it was very simple. We did not connect it to the internet, but we do it later. If you’re looking for a new range. You might want to check this one out.
