1 Week, pretty amazing so far

I just hung it up last week, I can say it is a lot clearer than my 82” 4k Qled from 2019. The clarity is amazing and if the movie or game supports HDR it looks even better. It’s bright without giving you a headache or straining your eyes. They added a glare resistant film that works pretty well; mine is hung right is front of a window that gets full sun, during the day you can see the window but between the clarity, brightness and anti-glare film, it’s pretty alright. It also has smart features, like when I turn on my game system it will switch to the HDMI, if there is loud ambient noice like a vacuum or blender the TV will automatically raise the volume a bit. My one problem, my remote suddenly stopped working, only the power button would work but it wasn’t responding to anything else. I re-paired the remote to the TV and it didn’t work until about the 5th time it just started working again. Samsung support wasn’t really any help, they were going to send a technician since you can’t take the batteries out of the remote. But the TV is great, you can control it with your phone, so I didn’t take off a star for that.

Thank you for your review of Samsung’s QN85A Neo QLED TV and for sharing your experience with your remote not working. If you press any key on the remote, and the LED indicator at the top of your remote stays on for about 3 seconds rather than blinking, please try the following steps to reset your remote:
      1) Long press the RETURN key and ENTER key together for about 10 seconds you’re your remote was once paired already with the TV, you do not need to re-pair it again. However, if it was not paired with the TV, pairing must be done after the reset.
      2) The RETURN key is on the left side of your remote and looks like a curved, backwards pointing arrow.
      3) The ENTER key is the button in the center of your directional ring.

Excellent Tv. Wonderful for the living room and the the size is perfect. I did wish it had Dolby Vision like my LG Oled but I still love the way the HDR looks and the blacks are really not bad. Doesn’t look washed out grey. Plus the price isn’t bad. I have the Samsung Q950A soundbar with it and I’d never thought I’d say it was overkill but “Oh well” together they are an amazing combo.

So far I'm really enjoying this TV. I recently moved and needed to replace my television, so I visited Best Buy. The employee recommended this one, which was in my budget. I'm very happy with this purchase. The quality of the tv is pretty good. It has great picture quality, with some great blacks! The brightness is great as well. It wasn't super heavy, taking only 2 of us to hang it, with me being a pretty small guy. Being a smart tv, it really makes watching various platforms easy and was super easy to set up once it was powered on. I have a Samsung phone which also integrated well with this tv. And finally the remote. It's small and easy to use, but the best feature is the solar recharger built in. You just turn it over and let it recharge. You also have the ability to plug it in using USB. I thought this was a nice touch, as long as you remember to charge it. It isn't without its faults however. The sound is average quality for a tv, what you'd expect for television speakers. If you're wanting amazing sound, pick up a good sound system to go with it. It also includes ads in the menu, something I'm not used to in a television. It doesn't bother me, but it might for those that hate seeing an ad for Samsung products. The menu can be a little cumbersome at first. It took me a while to locate the input select. Which brings me to my final point. This tv has a feature that allows you to pick a device that's attached to it, I believe to optimize the picture based on the product. It discovered my Xbox no problem, but it lacks that same feature for the Nintendo Switch. Kinda struck me by surprise that it'd not have the Switch as a product. Overall, I'd highly recommend this tv. It's a great bargain for the price and suits everything I need it for. Plus the size is perfect for a medium sized living room.

      Favnir,

Thank you for purchasing the QN85A TV and for sharing your feedback regarding the sound quality. Your new TV features SpaceFit Sound which optimizes sound tailored to your environment and Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) which further detects disturbances and enhances the on-screen voices for clear dialogue.

Go to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. Turn the options on or off to meet your needs:
      - Active Voice Amplifier is available only when the sound sensor of the TV is active and the sound output is set to TV Speaker, or a Samsung Soundbar interlinked with Adaptive Picture is connected.
      - Adaptive Sound+ provides optimized sound quality by analyzing the viewing space and the acoustic components of the content
      - Adaptive Volume Automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while you are watching TV.

Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Mode

You can also customize sound with Expert Settings.
Go to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings

If your TV is not automatically recognizing both gaming consoles, please make sure Input Signal Plus is enabled for the HDMI port both consoles are connected to. Press Home and navigate to Settings > General > External Device Manager > Input Signal Plus.

Please also ensure Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is enabled on your TV. Anynet+ recognizes and controls external devices that are connected to the TV via an HDMI cable, and will turn on/off when you turn the TV on/off. To turn on Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC), go to: Settings > General > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC).

I hope these tips help. Should you ever have questions or need help, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM -12AM EST M-F (9AM – 6PM EST Sat). Or text HELP to 62913.

It is like looking out a window on nature shows. The colors are really immersive. Very easy to use, as is the remote. I also like how I can hook it up to Alexa. Had it for nearly a year now and have had zero issues. If I had a small complaint, is this TV bragged about being anti-glare, which it isn't. Picture quality is incredible Setup is easy even you aren't a techy Sound is fair (just upgrade to a min of a soundbar) Remote is easy to use and intuitive More features than I will ever use Plenty of apps I chose this over an OLED from LG as I have had incredible luck/track record with Samsung TV's and so far this hasn't let me down, just like the other 4 I still have. Maybe the OLED has a better picture, but I don't think you would know unless they are right next to each other and even then its tough to say. Great TV and great value.

I searched long and hard and swore that I was not going to purchase another Samsung. This is my third smart Samsung and I can honestly say that I hate it!! The menu is clunky, the remote is far to sensitive (bump it and you are changing channels or powering off.) We got this TV because we needed a super bright picture as we have a lot of windows and during the day, we are fighting the glare and sun. At night though, even with adaptive lighting set I feel as though I am in the direct path of the sun. My 2010 55" Samsung non WIFI smart TV I think still has a far superior picture quality and its menu works far better. My 2014 65" Samsung fully smart TV is why I swore off Samsung originally. But alas here we are again. No, I would not buy another Samsung TV ever again.

Wow! I had gone into the store and compared all of the 4k UHD QN Series. I was super impressed that the QN85A had come down in price, yet looked very comparable to its successor QN90A! Pros: 1) Great Brightness 2) Larger than 65" (The new QD OLED is up to 65", so you can get the QN Series Larger for now until QD OLED Technology is available bigger) Cons: 1) Price, but realistic for the quality you're getting. It comes down to a more attainable budget level as newer technology continues to become available

    75- Qn85a (vs qn90a, Sony x90j and x95j)

After 2 months of ownership- I really considered 4. The Qn85a, qn90a, Sony x90j, Sony x95j. Out of the 4 the x95j was my first pick. At the time of purchase the 85 was on its black Fri price at 2000 and the x95j was 3000. As for the qn90a , I realize the va panel in the 90 is superior to the isp. But I looked and looked. I just couldn’t see it. There wasn’t $500 difference in picture. In fact often I preferred the color of the 85. I did see slightly better out of the 90 with black. But that was sometimes and not by much. Again , not 500 difference. As for the x90j, doesn’t get as bright or as dark imo but had awesome color. Days after my purchase the price of the 95j came down. I could take this back. The 500-600 difference wasn’t worth loading it up and exchanging it for me. Had I not hung this and was picking from a showroom, I’d probably pay the extra money as I thought the 95j was just better. Now for this tv. I love the color and brightness. I have zero regrets. I do not feel I’m missing anything. Take time to change your picture settings, the brightness and dial it in. It’s a beautiful picture. Forget what you read about ISP panels and how the contrast doesn’t measure against the va panels and go look with your own eyes. Sometimes numbers do not equal what you actually see and experience. I only give it 4 star picture quality only considering OLED at 5 stars and give the x95j 4 1/2 stars

75" kinda small, should've went with a 85". Extremely bright and speakers sound great for a TV. I have it hooked up to a large Amp and Klipsch 9 speaker concert speakers. The neighbors probably don't like it as much as I do but they'll got used to it. Samsung free TV channels was a nice surprise and wasn't expecting it. Well worth the $2K.

So far so good. Love this TV with its new technology. The picture is fantastic, colors are bright and crisp. I haven’t adjusted the colors for the different settings as yet and the brightness definitely needs to be toned down for sports, but I’m learning as I go along. I’ve got the movie setting just perfect. The viewing angle is very good and the blacks are very dark.

Samsung QN85A 75 inch is an amazing TV. The picture is a major upgrade for our Sony Bravia 55 inch, which was 10 years old, so I did a lot of research and was glad I chose this unit. The Neo QLED is a major upgrade in color, picture detail and watching sports. I purchased in October of 2021, was installed by the Geek squad.
