    I bought this drive to replace one of two spinning hard drives in my main desktop computer. The drive had Windows 10 installed on it and my other drive had various flavors of gnu/linux on it. The replacement was easy though I had to get an adapter due to the smaller size of the SSD. I used the utility at Samsung website to clone the drive so Windows 10 was on it. After removing the old hard drive, I repartitoned the drive and put a couple of linux distrobutions on it. The SSD boots up very fast and works great booting to either Windows 10 or linux.

    The difference between this disk and my existing 7200 RPM mechanical drive is like day and night. I am talking about the performance. I will have to have it for several years to know about endurance.

    If your looking for just some extra space to store old games. Or even desktop and normal office programs this ssd is awsome. But if your looking for gaming stuff M.2 is the best. Bit for everyday use of apps and programs this is it.
