Fast enough for all gaming and normal applications

Unless you are doing high end AI stuff, this thing is great. One item to call out is that if you are using this as a second drive to your Windows machine, you will have to take a few steps to add it to Windows 11. I have a similar model in my PS5 and that is what drew me to add one to my PC. Great deal!

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ultra fast read/write and solid build quality, with great support and excellent Samsung Magician software (downloaded from Samsung website). Had an open slot in my gaming computer and wanted to replace a Micron SSD that didn’t have a heat sink, as well as upgrade my read/write speeds. Needed a solution that would allow for easy cloning of my boot disk and saw a YouTube video that that showed the steps with this exact drive to do this. Everything was a breeze and went as expected (make sure you turn OFF Bitlocker before you attempt to clone drive if it is on. Cloned perfectly and added it and a second one of these (2TB version) in my rig. Highly recommend. Even better, snagged it on sale for 50% off :) .

It has faster read/write speeds than the SSD that comes in the PS5 Slim. Easier to intall than most PC's but that is a component of the PS5 and not the SSD. Very cool aesthetics with the black and red colors and rigid shape of the heatsink version!

The added storage has more than doubled the amount of games available on my PS5. The fact that I don't need to play musical chairs with the games installed to the console makes the SSD an awesome upgrade.

It was easy to install and has lived up to its price. Plus it is covered under my Best Buy Total Tech Membership for 2 years with the option to extend the coverage.

Samsung SSD - Perfect for my PS5

Popped off the Play Station’s cover, inserted the the Samsung SSD, tightened a couple of screws, replaced the cover, and done. It works like a charm. The price was right. I highly recommend it.

The quality of the product and reliability along with the top performance can not be best. The ease of use is also a priority for me when deciding on which product I will be buying. Samsung sets the bar high for all its competitors.

The random read IOPS are really high which mean win11 or win10 will open apps and games quickly. Buy it already!
