This is, in my opinion, the best gen 4 NVME SSD out there. It has excellent TBW, speed and temps. What more could you ask for? I've slowly been trying to acquire 6 of these to put into a Flashtor NAS. I'm on number 3 of 6. I'll keep looking for deals!

Blazing fast! I think it's quicker than my Macbook HDD. It does get hot, but anything with this kind of speed is going to.

Delivers exactly what it specifies! Love all the storage I could ever want in my laptop now--especially not needing to manage space for any of my games, drawing files, etc. After using this as a boot drive and re-imaging my computer, once Windows 11 has its way with it, you get little over 3.6 TB left, which is perfectly fine by me.

Took a minute to figure out how to format it, but after set up is complete games run so much faster than running off of a SATA connection SSD

Added to my 2024 ROG Zephyrus G16. I'm using this for storing games, premiere pro projects, and FLAC musics. The data transfers quickly, and I love it.

Good price and great performance. It's a fantastic choice for a PS5 if you get the version with a heatsink or provide your own. There's only one point of note that to be careful of-Due to an issue in older runs, you have to be careful with the version you get. Older model numbers burned themselves out more quickly than they should have. Check your version number before install.

990 Pro works as intended. Make sure your mobo support pcie 4.0, otherwise you wont get max transfer speed. Paid $229 during Black Friday :)

This can be overkill for most users, but if you want the best ssd with a great out of the box experience, get this.

got an insane deal on this for about 200 bucks and put it in my Alienware r14 x2 with AMAZING results. Use Samsung Magician software for the easiest install. The speed increase from the stock 512gb ssd that is in the x14 r2 is INCREDIBLE. it is like a new laptop was born!

Best Read and Write sites for a GEN4. Have 2 if them. One for the OS and one for storage.

I ordered the item online for pick up at a Portland, OR store. I went to pick up the item and headed to work afterwards. I opened the item two days later to install it on my computer. I found out that the item had a piece of motherboard or something. The actual item was not there. I was scammed. I decided to take the item back to best buy to see what they could do. I knew this was going to be a hassle. I also knew this was going to be hard to prove. I talked to the store supervisor/Manager and he said he couldn't do anything. He instead told me to call a number. I called it and sent the item back so I could get a refund. Weeks passed by and I didn't get a refund and they sent me the box back. This is a lesson learned to always check your items before leaving the store. I got scammed. I recommend not to buy from best buy and if you do just open your items at the store.

My experience with best buy and this ssd is that the 2 first broke and stopped working, I changed it in my local bestbuy the 2nd time and it came out to be a Patriot 128GB, I returned it and exchanged it for another one and when test it came out as 4TB but no description as Samsung, I did allthe troubleshoot to find out that is another fake, checking online I came out with alibaba 990PRO and it look exactly like the drive I have but the sticker said samsung but it does not look legit. The back also does not have the samsung label. If you are shopping locally open it first and check that the back of the ssd has the samsung labels
