After reading every review I could find & going into the store to see diff options, we landed on this one. It is hands down superior to anything you can find at an appliance store. opening the door you feel the quality construction. It's quiet, solid feeling and so beautiful. We worried it would look too modern or futuristic, but it looks great in our kitchen. The 3 temperature zones have been convenient. We use one to chill wine bottles. The smudge proof stainless steel is great and we love the interior details. Not enough room to write all we love about this

I only bought this because I got a great deal on a floor model, otherwise I thought it was to expensive. Now owning this for over 6 months I can only say WOW! This thing is great. Love the 4 door design. The pull out freezer drawers are awesome. Even being a little smaller than our old one,I feel this can hold more. The fridge has great shelfs that slide in halfway for more room! All the materials used are top notch and noticeably better then most others! The led lighting is cool. Super quiet running. The chefs pantry ability to run independently from the fridge and freezer is amazing. Haven't turned the freezer to a fridge yet but sounds like it could be useful come this summer's party!! Kids love the built in Sodastream machine. Great job Samsung.

The Samsung Chef Collection refrigerator has a great look. I love the stainless inside which keeps the refrigerator much colder. I am getting so much use of the bottom right section that I can make either freezer or more refrigerator space. Being a very organized person the bins in the freezer help me keep everything in its place... meet draw... pasta draw... snack draw etc. I am a minimalist and love the absence of handles protruding from the doors... the hidden ones are great! all in all it is a very sophisticated kitchen appliance!

    Great Fridge..Some Little Annoyances

Great looking, great working fridge (cooling is very constant temperature). Only little annoyances are that the ice maker doesn't make that much ice, cubes are TINY and coming out white which my old Kitchenaid didn't do (and it was 16 years old). Sodastream built-in is a nice added plus although would have been nice if they came with a free cartridge for the price you pay for this refrigerator. Doors DO show fingerprints no matter how much they say it reduces the amount of fingerprints (not so...they show up). Looks good in our new kitchen along with all the other Bosch Benchmark appliances we also have. Like the layout (burt takes some getting used to with the short shelves and the ability to store tall bottles) and the ability to use bottom right side for either freezer or refrigerator.

We replaced a big 19-year-old cabinet-depth Sub Zero 590 with this cabinet-depth Samsung four-door fridge. Warning: when the Best Buy guys arrived with our new Samsung, they said that despite the contract agreement to remove our old fridge, they wouldn't tackle our Sub Zero. So we had two huge refrigerators in our kitchen for 10 days until Chris, our local store manager, and a separate Best Buy delivery crew, confirmed that they would absolutely honor their contract. Two great guys came to the house and hauled our old fridge to recycling, and put this new one in place. Big props to them. We soon recognized we'd also need to upsize our nearby porch freezer to accommodate frozen foods. This fridge has much to recommend, including the built-in Soda Stream system, quiet and efficient motor/compressor operation, LED light strips and fridge-to-freezer convertible lower right compartment. Downside: though the fridge motors are quiet, the icemaker "plops" its results way too proudly, noisily cracking into any surrounding conversation. And the resulting ice is wimpy -- wet, porous, cloudy -- downright embarrassing for use in drinks for friends. We've also run out of ice a few times during the two months we've had this fridge, because the icemaker has limited production and storage. One couple visiting can deplete the ice by the end of the evening. If you entertain, you might want to buy or store some ice elsewhere, in advance. The through-the-door water dispenser is also wimpy. It now takes us about twice as long to fill a glass of ice water from the external door dispenser. We'd read about these concerns before buying, but decided to take our chances. However, we too find them slightly annoying as we live with this fridge. Not a deal breaker, but issues Samsung engineers/designers could improve. They could/should improve water flow, for instance, by using larger hoses and filters on future versions. Our cabinet-depth requirement also left us no choice but to use the lower-right "convertible" compartment as fridge space. That meant we had to buy a bigger, separate, freezer to replace our 19-year-old porch freezer. That switch was due anyway, right? Even so, something's goofy about this fridge design/layout. We're finding that we need to change our shopping habits simply to accommodate this fridge. It'll accommodate one gallon of milk on the door shelf, for example. But when that milk runs low, and we need to get another, and store it until the original is empty, it's a hassle to make space for the "second" gallon. The shelves of this fridge can flip and slide and look good in the showroom, but in real-world use, they are not well designed for taller items like milk by the gallon or many white wine or champagne bottles or other things that need height. So far, we’ve managed to shuffle things around and make it work. But it’s not yet worthy of a “Chef’s Collection” moniker. Or five stars. Even so, we feel that this fridge may be the best option for us, and for many. It has a lot of excellent features: Two compressors; Energy efficiency; Quiet running (except for that goofy ice droppage that creates the occasional “Bang!”); Soda Stream and ice and water through-the-door capabilities (despite the fact that both the ice and the water production are wimpy); Interesting/useful readouts of temps etc. on the doors. And even though we can’t use magnets on the doors (no more grandbaby’s pix there), we can still put them on the sides, which will also hold necessities such as calendars, bottle openers etc. Overall, this is a nice, albeit expensive product, which Samsung could turn into a great product if the company would be willing to confront, and tweak, its limitations.

Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the doors don't have a soft close and ice maker is small. Other than that we love all the features and works well and keeps things real cold. Love the soft closing drawers inside and wasn't sure if we would like the 2-doors for the freezer but so far we do since we can put one half in a deep freeze and the other for more frequent items..

Beautiful fridge indeed! Keeps foods at nice even temp. Like the option to switch bottom right freezer section to fridge if needed. Kids and I enjoy the lower tray pullout and use it for quick snacks likes cheeses sticks, clementines etc... when you open the fridge it's beautiful to see the stainless color vs. white. Love the top fridge side by side and bottom side by side adjustable fridge/freezer. The fridge door that is equipped with soda stream is fairly heavy when opening. The soda steam even though pretty easy to use,can be tricky sometimes when using digital panel. Otherwise, of you don't think you will be a soda steam drinker, I'd suggest not getting because you will get more space on the side door. After purchasing fridge my husband band I agreed that we both prefer a handle to grab rather than the inset door handle. The only other issue is the ice and water maker on outside door seems to always spit out cubes to floor maybe because on a bit of a slant. The tray is not adequate to catch water or cubes that spray.

Nice refrigerator. Only complaint is that there is not much space between the shelves. I know you can move the sliding shelves but it still doesn't leave much room for taller items. Also, it didn't come with a CO2 canister for he sparkling water option; for the price, I think that should've been included.

I bought the bigger size at first but had to replace it for this slightly smaller model. It still has all of the great features and capabilities as the larger model but not as spacious. I wish the shelves were taller to fit more larger bottles, but I guess I could lay some of them down. I like that it has four doors and you can control the temperature and make one a refridgerator or a freezer.

This Fridge exceeded my expectations! I purchased the "Chef Collection" counter depth version (model RF24J9960S4) The brilliant design allows me to convert the lower right section to a beverage cooler (I don't freeze many things, thus waste space and energy keeping a large semi-empty freezer cold.) This seems well made and more "solid" than the lower priced version. I love the temperature control options. The best unexpected feature is the sparking water dispenser! A SodaStream container fits inside the door and provides cool, filtered sparkling water from the exterior dispenser. Great looking too!

Tons of room in the fridge portion and in the lower flex freezers. I love the sparkling water and digital panel on the front- adds a nice modern touch to the look and also a little something more than any other fridge out there. Expensive, but worth it on sale and considering that a plain basic fridge costs $1000. Love all my new Samsung appliances and this fridge is highly recommended if you want one that looks sharp and has all the little extra touches. Buy it, You will love it!

This fridge is a lot of fun. Although only counter depth, it does have pros and cons: 1) Got Milk? - This fridge has a horrible downside, almost no space for gallon sized containers. I have four kids so this was a huge issue. I did however solve the problem by removing the shelf under the ice maker - now I have lots of space for gallon containers (just hated getting rid of such a beautiful shelf). I also store backup gallons in the lower right fridge compartment using the refrigerator (instead of freezer option). 2) No attraction here! - I can't put my magnets on this fridge. The front is not magnetic, so be prepared to part with all your nice magnets and find them a new home. 3) SodaStream if you can find the Stream - Although a neat feature, I wish I hadn't bought it. Apparently most stores no longer sell/exchange them. In ten years I am sure they will be no where to be found. Nice to play with, but hard to find. 4) Turn up your Hearing Aid - The Door Alarm is Useless - supposedly has an alarm that will go off if the door is left open. Awesome Idea and was a big selling point for me. But in truth, this alarm is useless. You can barely hear it! I stood right in front of the fridge and could barely hear the alarm go off. It is also not continuous, so don't depend on it. 5) Win the Lottery - Yep, definately need to win the lottery to pay for this fridge. It is extremely expensive. Starbucks of refrigerators. 6) Mood Lighting - A neat feature is when you open the doors the lights come on slowly (not too slow, but enough to get you in the mood). 7) All Sizes Are Welcome - Samsung is starting a new crusade - stick a shelf there even if you can't find a single thing in the grocery store that would fit in that spot. It has some of the smallest and most hidden shelves ever. Great place to hide candy from your teenagers (little shelf embedded under the condiment shelf on the door - just don't forget its there). Or you could be like me, I can't find the candy because my kids use the shelves to hide them from me! 8) Show off - Yes this fridge has a neat feature of showing you the temperatures being used by your fridge. But after it is set, the numbers on the front of the fridge look kinda silly after a while. I am more interested in the temperature outside then my fridge temperature!

I spent countless hours looking for a counter depth refrigerator until I saw this on display in our local best buy store. After debating between this and the lower model, we went with the chef series. It offers the most storage for a counter depth refrigerator. We love the fact that you can make one of the lower sides a freezer or refrigerator.

This refrigerator exceeded all of our expectations; we were concerned it might be too small; however, it works very well except if you have a lot of very tall items. We love the flexibility with the lower section to use it as either a freezer or refrigerator. We get so many compliments on the looks -- and the soda stream is even better than we thought!
