Broke in less than a year

Then it started having issues after about 8 months with screen flickers and and random display issues. Now on the last day of the warranty it has two big burn spots on each side of the screen. Called Samsung and have to wait 2 weeks for parts and to have some one come out and fix it. For a $1000 monitor to break in 11 month is ridiculous. Given that these issues are fairly common they should have just sent me a new one.

I exchanged not one, not TWO and ultimately will be returning the THIRD for dead/stuck pixels. Come on, is this a joke? The box and monitor weigh almost 40lbs and I had to make three trips for this debacle - it’s 2019, completely unacceptable to have this level of poor QC. The picture quality is decent and nice and bright, and I would maybe keep it weren’t for the stuck pixels - but I spent 1 hour trying to get the 144hz refresh rate to run on my PC unsuccessfully on the third one. I’m calling it a day and staying FAR away from Samsung going forward - buyer beware.

As I have been using mine for less than two years and it has been a pain getting in front of my monitor to start working and I cannot. Trying to fix a monitor when you have a meeting first thing in the morning is outrageous. It will show up like it is cracked then resolved itself after a while. This is an expensive monitor. Save yourself the trouble and buy something else.

Now, the left half of the screen is dead and the right half blinks slowly between black and white. Samsung support is of no help. They even went as far as asking me if it was powered on! For a monitor of this price, it should have lasted MUCH longer. Very dissatisfied Samsung customer.

After less than 18 months the display board went south. Best Buy won’t fix it, and neither will Samsung. So I have to reach chase my tail and reach out to a 3rd party repair service.

Great mid range Ultrawide
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For multitasking this scren can display 2 full browser pages or 4 half pages. Color accuracy and light bleed are a thing with this monitor if that bothers you. This monitor is very good for mid range setups 70 series gpu or equivent to run most games at over 100 fps. Nvidia uses displayport 1.4 so youre capped at 4k 144 unless youre using a newer Nvidia 4000 series "super" or a more recent AMD GPU card to utilize the displayport 2.1 for 280hz. Had it for a few years before i recently decided to upgrade to the oled version. Keep in mind older games were not made to be played on a wide screen resolution at 3840 x 1080 so you may have image stretching or black bars along the left and right side on certain games. The monitor itself is heavy almost like a tv i would recommend two to three people to finish the mounting especially if you are mounting to an arm. The one thing i didnt like was the stock monitor stand is bulky and takes alot of desk space.
