I use it for my car. Only drawback is that it's not always live and only when the device catches someone's phone. If you want an actual car tracker get a Bouncie with a subscription. If you don't want a subscription the smart tag 2 is perfect. I have both with the smart tag2 for a backup.

My wife has a couple of big trips planned later in the year so I got her the SmartTags since she uses Samsung. They work great and are very easy to set up. I’m very relived she will be able to track her bags very easily with the SmartTags.

If you are looking for something you can track when you're miles away, THIS is the one for you. In comparison to the Tile, it only allows you to locate when around 250ft away with bluetooth, whereas this one uses PTP connection, allowing you to track its exact location at ANY time. Great product!

Better than original but far from great.

Unfortunately it can't be used with iPhones even through the Smartthings app. Also doesn't provide live tracking. Does a great job of locating stationary objects when other Samsung devices are nearby.

We value your candor as we continue to improve the performance and functionality of our product line. The Galaxy SmartTag2 utilizes the SmartThings Find network which consists of many other "findable" Galaxy devices that work as beacons by sending out signals. Once these beacons detect a signal from a device that is being sought out by its owner, they will relay that information to the SmartThings Find network; allowing you to see the approximate location of where your lost SmartTag 2 last transmitted its signal. Other Galaxy users that are participating in the SmartThings Find network assist with updating your SmartTag2's location within the app. You are correct, the Galaxy SmartTag2 is not compatible with iOS devices (iPhones) and only works with Galaxy devices.
