Thin and small enough for everywhere but a wallet. Tag tracking is reliable in populated areas but gets finnicky in remote areas. Needs nearby Samsung users to ping location. Given Samsung is the 2nd most popular smartphone brand, the network is acceptably large.

Bought these on sale during Black Friday, I think they're a little pricey side to me otherwise. They work pretty good for traveling. I throw them in all my bags. Downside is it sometimes takes a little bit for them to update if it's in a checked bag. Other than that I really like them.

These work really well for tracking but i was unable to load one on my S22 Ultra so we had to attach both to my wifes S25+, but other than that the work great.

We found it difficult to set up. Best Buy helped us set up two of them, so we've not been able to use the other two yet.
The tags work at close range. We found our luggage right away at the airport carousel.
Salutations AnnieW, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with using the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2. When it comes to setting up your Galaxy SmartTag2, please ensure that your Bluetooth and location services are enabled on your paired device, then hold the tag within centimeters of your phone, and update the SmartThings app, if needed. If detection fails, reset the tag by removing the battery for 20 minutes, or scan the QR code on the box. Believe it or not, the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 does not only work at close range. While it uses Bluetooth for direct tracking up to ~120 meters/394 feet, it utilizes the Galaxy Find Network to locate items globally via nearby Galaxy devices. At close range, you can use, "Search Nearby" to get precise directions (UWB) or make the tag beep. If you're outside Bluetooth range, the Galaxy SmartTag2 securely communicates with any nearby Samsung device (phones, tablets) to update its location on your map, allowing tracking worldwide. If you have any questions for us or if you would like any further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to Support. Thank you for being a faithful Samsung customer. - Debra
