The Samsung 250 GB SSD drive is excellent for portable use, especially when traveling. It functions with my MacBook seamlessly and is very fast- especially with USB-C to USB-C connectivity. It functions well with my older iMac where it connects USB-C to USB. A bit slower when working with the iMac. Noticeable faster than any of my external portable hard-drives. I strongly recommend this drive. I am considering getting another one at larger storage capacity.

Responsive and fast in a small lightweight drive that is easily portable. Pretty basic other than that SSD is great, just be sure you DO NOT forget your password or you will NOT be able to ever get back into your drive. It says this in the Samsung manual as well.

My 2012 iMac has a regular 1T HD. I bought this to connect to the USB 3.0 port behind the screen. Use CCC to clone the HD to the external SSD. Then in setting, choose the external SSD as boot disk. The speed went from less than 100MB/S to over 400MB/S. A great way to upgrade to SSD without opening the iMac which is involved and scary. Use velcro to attach it to back of the iMac stand and nobody can see it.

I bought my wife a Macbook Air, but soon realized how fast she was using up the storage on her hard drive. I read and watched many reviews on this external solid state drive (SSD) from Samsung so I knew what I was getting in this product. She is happy because she knows that she doesn't have to worry about storage from this point on. It was also a seamless process connecting this SSD to her Macbook.

I always maintain a external drive for doing maintenance on various Macs in the household and for testing new releases. I had been using a thunderbolt based SSD but the writing is on the wall that USB C will become new standard so wanted to get a head start. This drive is incredible small yet quick and highly recommend it.

Needed a new drive for my Mac Mini after my internal drive died. Decided to replace it with an external ssd rather than an internal one. Research indicated that this drive would work great and I have not been disappointed. Set-up was easy and while not quite as fast as an internal ssd it is definitely faster than an internal spinning hdd. Works great with the Mac OS.

I use this drive to back-up drives when I am installing SSD's into computers to upgrade them. This drive does it in a snap. Easy to use and very portable. The price is cheap enough that I can even use it to store all my music and movie files for my car system on it. Samsung is kicking the butt of every SSD and storage system out there right now with products like this!

To get advantage of this drive you need USB 3. It is very small and fast.

I was looking for a small, but fast, drive to use as an external "scratch" drive when editing video on the road in Final Cut Pro X. This drive delivers on all fronts! Small, FAST, and USB-C (great for any of the newer MacBooks). Happy with my purchase, and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a compact high performance drive for travel.

I love my Macbook Pro, but unfortunately I ran out of space very quickly and I hated lugging around an external hard drive. I found this online and couldn't be happier. It's small so its easy to travel with and it is very quick so I am able to run programs and store everything on it and it's almost as fast as the SSD the Mac comes with.

After committing significant time researching external hard drives, I settled on this drive. I wanted an external drive to house my movie library for editing and such. So far, so good with this little guy. Arguably one of the most highly regarded external drives out right now, it seems I made an excellent decision.

This SSD is very fast and compact. I absolutely love this SSD and will be buying another one in the near future. I transferred a 40GB computers SSD to this External SSD in 90 seconds. That pretty much sums it up.

This is an incredibly small and fast SSD. The only thing to note is that it comes only with a USB-C to USB 3 cable. USB-C to USB-C needs to be purchased separately if needed. Plenty fast for editing 4K video on my Macbook Pro to keep space free on the internal drive.

I have owned this device for over two years and it still running great. Device is fast with both types of USB cables. I am able to store and know my photos and documents will be safe with a password. Takes up very little space.

This portable SSD is blazingly fast and super handy. Additionally, you don't have to worry about bumping it and loosing your data like a spinning disk drive. The big thing that, hopefully, will improve over time is the price per gigabyte of storage.

I travel all the time. Having a way to offload video and pics is a must. This drive is perfect. I've used it with both my windows and MAC to quickly download and store large files. It's small and much lighter than a traditional external drive.

Bought this to store Windows externally and use with my Macbook, and it is incredible. Can run games and programs - as well as the OS - at full speed and capacity. Recommended to anyone looking for an amazing, compact external SSD.

Got this to go with my MacBook to install games from steam and run it of this. Runs smoothly and transfer rates are extremely fast! No problems with the device. Have it connected with a type c to type c cable.
