SSD drive draws low power and works well on non-powered USB hub, were my spinner type drive would not. Faster than conventional hard drive. Better than thumb drive of same capacity and cheaper as well. Got 2 for backing up photos while traveling.

I bought this to double the memory of my Surface. It works great and is very small which is awesome since it does not take up much space on my desk. It also allows you to set up a password to protect you files from unauthorized access.

This Samsung external SSD works fine, but the software could be better. Much faster than the WD external hard drive which I returned because it was painfully slow (but the included backup software with the WD was better!).

If you are looking to purchase a storage device and own it with no yearly subcritions. Then look no more. Very fast and reliable. Download all ur texts,contacts,videos, and pictures from ur phone or device with no worries.

I bought this because people recommended me, and now I use this SSD on a daily basis. The read and write speed are extremely fast and due to its small size, I can carry this device anywhere I go without any inconvenience.

We travel frequently and will often take several hundred images while on the road. Purchased this external drive for those times when I am importing/processing large numbers of image files while away from home.

I like this unit; it's quick and compatible with the Macbook Pro's USB-C ports; I essentially got it to double the 256GB I got with my 2016 laptop. I do also have a Sandisk external thumb that I need to use with an adapter; honestly I really don't see the speed difference for what was double the price! Either way it's enough for my needs, but for larger files like photos and video I use the cheaper alternatibve.

I was tired of having a slow external drive when my computer has a super fast SSD. This solved that for a great price! Very happy with this purchase and still allows me to keep very little in my computer bag!

very fast, light weighted product, much better than older portable hard drive.

The T3 and served as excellent overflow storage on my X360 when doing BluRay transcoding. The speeds are as advertised, and doesn't bottleneck my transcodes like an HDD can on occasion.

Works as I expected, its fast, light weight and seems solidly built.

Bought it because I was backing up my files for a reinstallation and uploading to cloud was taking forever. This is soooo much faster (given that my laptop is also SSD).

Quick, light weight, good carrying box to keep it safe when I travel

I run it on my Mac Pro as an alternative to internal SSD up great. Virtual machines boot faster than on internal SSD on my Mac book. Oh I bought a second one already.

I ordered this drive when I read it was a USB-C drive. I hoped it would be usable with standard USB-3 type A ports, which the description acknowledged. I was surprised when it arrived with no USB-C cable, only a USB-C to USB-A short cable. The port on the drive is USB-C. But, it is 10 times faster than a big USB flash drive without being much bulkier.

Great fast portable hard drive. I use it as a secondary hard drive on my Xbox one and all of my games load twice as fast when they are running from this portable SSD.

It's small, sturdy and very reliable. I like the fact that there are no moving parts and it's shock resistant. I'm not worried about carrying it around in my bag.

The Samsung external hard drive is so easy to use, plug it in and transfer the files to the drive. So easy and gives me peace of mind that my pictures are protected!

I purchased this drive for quick backups. It's a great all around drive that is extremely fast. I have zero complaints about this drive! Highly recommended!
