I use this drive for my photography and video editing. I would say this is one of the best portable SSD’s in the price range at the moment. The design is very compact and pocketable easy to carry. It is very well built and about the size of a credit card. Highly recommend anyone who needs speed in their creative profession and pocketable storage. Samsung has the best SSD’s in the market. I picked this up from curbside in about 5 minutes. Best Buy associate was very precise and helpful. Great product customer service overall!

I bought this for a friend who does a lot of photography work on her Macbook after her old external drive went south. I was surprised at how small it was when out of the box. I watched it in action and was told that everything loaded much faster and worked out perfect for what she needed. Also the perfect size for on the go on her photography gigs.

Very good product, found it for $80 and has been durable and fast so far. I use it for gaming and I have about the same speeds that in my internal disk, so it's a good deal so far. Plus it comes with the Samsung software that tells you things like temperature.

This is a small but powerful SSD that I would recommend for anyone looking for a fast drive to work on. I went for an emergency Best Buy run in the middle of an editing project and it was the only SSD available at the store when I went so I was a little bit doubtful about it at first. Thankfully, it worked perfectly for my project and saved me in the middle of a rush! Would def recommend, and looking forward to buying one with more space in the near future!

Pretty simple and easy to use. Very fast. The only thing i don't like about this vs my sandisk is the ability to export photos from Lightroom directly to the hard drive. For some reason I can’t do that with this one but i can with my sandisk, so it just makes for extra steps. It also had me download this security thing to my desktop and when i have it plugged it, it always says “please connect drive” so I’m not sure what the point is in having it so I just deleted it. Otherwise, it’s reliable, lightweight and very durable.

Use this for dedicated windows backups. Fast, compact, well cushioned, and reliable. On sale occasionally.

I bought this as a external storage for my pc great purchase. Easy to use, fast load times haven't had any problems.

This is the second Samsung SSD I have purchased (first one was a 500GB for my wife), and it meets all of my expectations. Small size makes it super easy to take anywhere. Data transfer is lightning fast. Only one cable (USB-C to USB-C) makes connecting a snap. I am very pleased with this product, and give it my full recommendation.

I like the portable size of the Samsung -T72TB External USB It is sturdy and it is perfect to help me store my work. I have been using a previous Samsung SSD for over two years and hasn't failed me yet. Easy to store images and data.

Fantastic small 2TB external SSD Drive, I have so many tv shows and movies downloaded on here and it’s great to carry them wherever I go. The speed is super fast and I know people complain how hot it can get but I only noticed that while transferring my files from my PC to the drive. But it hasn’t got hot while it’s plugged into my tv watching movies and TV shows. I do check it once in a while to make sure and it’s nice and cool

More power- faster downloads. Less bulky storage! Compact and efficient! Had to replace my external storage due loss of information. Less worry to know that data is better protected with more advanced technology. And the price is definitely not hard on the budget neither! Great choice ,best comparable purchase on the market.

After decades of using large platter disk external hard drives for back up this Samsung device is a real joy. It is just slightly larger and thicker than a credit card and could easily fit into a spacious wallet. I like that it comes with USB-C to USB-C for my MacBook as well as USB-C to USB-A cables for my PC. The drive is super fast. I reformatted it with 2 partitions with disk utility on my MacBook. I use one for Time Machine back up and the second for file sharing.

Love this SSD, it is quiet, fast and dependable, plus the price is good compared to others of the same style and capacity.

Great secondary storage for those who didn't get enough in their laptop and can't add more because it's soldered. I have a 1TB drive in my Macbook Pro and I was running out of space because of how large my photo library has become since I got a full frame camera and have been storing raws and using Lightroom (DMGs are stupid big.) I have also have several Steam games stored on it and they run just fine. I've benchmarked the drive and it consistently gives me ~850MB/s reads and writes excluding file system overhead, so it's likely saturating the 10Gbps USB 3.1 bus on my laptop. I was able to copy my ~380GB photo library in under 10 minutes. All in all, it's a pretty good deal if you get it while it's on sale like I did for $140. With that said, always remember to keep a backup. I just rolled it into my Time Machine (Apple,) backup to my external 8TB rotational media drive for redundancy because devices can and do fail.

I’ve been using this Samsung T7 2TB portable SSD for several months now, and it’s been absolutely excellent. Setup was super simple just plug in and it works right away on both my laptop and desktop. The transfer speeds are impressively fast, and large photo and video files move in seconds instead of minutes, which has been a huge time-saver for my files.
