Using as replacement of internal startup drive on my iMac 27, three months conclusion is…….speeds up Lightroom quite a bit compared to internal original. Gets quite hot but less the 55C……how long it lasts is another question.

I’ve had a good experience with my Samsung hard drive so far — it’s fast, reliable, and does exactly what I need. But the real test is still ahead: time. That’s where my old Seagate drive fell short, so we’ll see if this one holds up.

Have only had for a short time, but it has so far been fast and reliable. While transferring larger amount of files (~100 GB at a time), it was tending to run hot, but cooled off almost immediately after the transfer was complete. It is as small and compact as I could have asked for. High quality product.

I've tried it on many different products; anything from a flagship Android device, MacBook, Win10 system & a Xbox One X. On the MacBook and Win10 setups, it averages speeds right around 850mb/s. On the Xbox One X console it averages about 490-520mb/s due to the console only having USB 3.0, so the SSD is essentially being bottle-necked, which I knew would be the case from day 1. However, in all cases this drive is ridiculously fast, has really nice build quality, easy to use on any platform and for what you're getting it's definitely worth the price. I've made this the main drive from which I run games off of on my XB1X. I have the stock internal 1TB HDD, a 5TB external USB 3.0 HDD that I download all games and apps to, and then I have this new 1TB SSD that I transfer my most played/current game(s) to because it loads and runs so much faster. Overall, I haven't had it long but I have no complaints, yet. If anything changes I'll be sure to update my review, but as of now I have no cons whatsoever about purchasing this SSD. For the price & the future proof of it being USB 3.2 Gen 2, it really is hard to beat.

Great SSD drive that is durable and reliable. A must have for those who want to access or save their content in a small and compact drive. USB-C makes this even better.

Perfect for moving files from an older laptop to a new one. Comes with USB A-C and USB C-C cables, which is very convenient. Amazing how small it is for such huge storage capacity.

Best storage device. Handy and large file holding capacity especially when you are overwhelmed with family pictures on your phone this gives you a big time relief. It even got dropped several times but works perfectly! Price is very affordable too!!

This is a very nice external hd. This thing is lightening FAST compared to my other standard HDD. It does get warm but just keep it in the open and you should be fine. It is kinda slippery so I suggest getting a case for it because it can definitely slip outta your hand. If you want a FAST external drive this is the one to get! It’s a kinda pricey tho.

It's perfect to have its small enough to carry and plug in the save my documents from my samsung phone. It goes with my company saving space on both. Knowing my information is safe and secure. Is worth the cost alone

After using the Samsung T7 1TB SSD for a year, I’m happy to grab a second one. It’s been a solid drive—super fast for transferring big files, and the size makes it easy to toss in my bag. The hardware encryption is a nice perk, especially since I’ve got some work files on it. I also own the SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD, which is great too, but I feel the T7 runs cooler and feels a bit sturdier over time. Overall, it’s a solid, reliable choice.

I purchased this to use as an external drive for the Xbox Series X. While of course not as fast as the internal drive, this does have great read/write speeds and works excellent with legacy games to free up internal storage. For those who want portable solution, it has a really small footprint and could easily slip in a pocket.

Easy and fast external drive. This was my first SSD drive. I learned that these drives get warm if you write a lot of data to them at once.
My computer is 5 years old so speed was constrained by only having USB 2.0 ports
The drive is very compact. The fact that it came with two cables meant I didn't have to purchase any additional dongles or converters.

What a great decision!! I was planning to trade in our Mid-2015 iMac 27" 5k as it was running SLOW...almost unusably slow to be honest. I wasn't sure what to do, then I read some online suggestions that going to an external (changing the HDD on an iMac is nightmare inducing) SSD drive. I did some research and settled on the Samsung T7 (warranty is less than the 5yr competitors however). After properly formatting the drive for a Mac bootable drive, and then cloning the internal hard drive, I started up the iMac...and OH MY GOODNESS!!! The iMac NEVER ran this fast...it is crazy what a difference this made (using the USB-A 3.0 port..not even Thunderbolt 2)!! I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a FAST external drive. It is truly tiny as well...hard to describe, but maybe the size of a deck of cards, but only about 7-10 cards thick.
