Perfect for my needs. You can reformat the drive any way you’d like and even split the format. It’s perfect for music projects and catalogues. Plenty of space for documents and can even be used as a back up for your laptop. Very easy to use I have about five of these devices.

This SSD works flawlessly to provide extra storage that you can keep connected to your computer, as a portable device for transferring data, or as a means to backup files on your system. It has fast data transfer rates with a USB 3.0 port or higher, and it comes out of the box exFAT formatted and ready to be used with multiple operating systems. It does get very warm (but not hot) during prolonged writing of tens of gigabytes of data. I have left mine inside my computer case through an internal USB port easily added with a PCI-e card for extra storage. A more permanent and slightly more expensive alternative for inside your computer if you have the slots available is the Samsung 970 EVO+ 1TB SSD when coupled with a PCLe SSDE to PCI-e adapter card.

Excellent. Tiny size. Super portable. Don't even need a case, just put it in my pocket. Very fast too. Worth the expense, which is high considering the storage size

Unit is small, solid feeling, made of aluminum.
In typical Samsung fashion the speeds are exactly as advertised.
Easily sustains reads and writes above 1GB/s
Cable goes in easy, but isn't loose.
Unit is small and easy to misplace.
You really can't go wrong with a Samsung SSD

Love the functionality of a super fast SSD Its worked flawlessly since I purchased it. Ive been saving all my photos on it and its not even 1/2 full so far. Great buy if your computer didn't come with enough storage.

Two Terabytes!!! Massive storage device with USB 3.2 Gen 2 connection. SSD drive= no moving parts! I use it in conjunction with my DJI CINESSD 480 GB (and soon 960 GB) for the DJI Inspire 2 and MacBook Pro. Works as advertised perfectly. Will be buying again as my Drone jobs get bigger.

I purchased my Portable SSD T7 in October 2024 and I am very pleased with it. I haven't had any issues at all, it's very fast and to this day seems very reliable. When I am in the market for another SSD backup drive, I will definitely purchase another Samsung USB Drive.

This item gave me more space for my pc. I would transfer my important files on there as I make the folder for it. Easy access to my files on there. Definitely recommend it.

Super fast ans small factor.
I have 2TB version to edit 4k/60 and 30 videos off disk without using Proxies in DaVinci and it handles it really well.
If you have new Mac M4 or a PC that has the newer USB standard then get the new faster version that is 2000MB/s because this one is only 1050Mb/s, my M2 Pro Max does not have the new x4 USB so I got this one and I am very happy.

Good portable SSD hard drive for the price with decent memory storage. I chose Samsung because of their reputation for making the best hard drives on the market. I chose this particular model because of it’s compact size & simple design & it also featured a USB-C port which helped make it thoroughly up to date feature & performance wise.

This amazing unit, easily took all 2 TB of videos we put on it, and then proceeded to accidentally get placed in the washer with a whole load!!! EEK! After the wash cycle was completed it made its way in the dryer for a full cycle…. Once the hard drive was nice and clean we plugged it in to hopefully view our current uploads. She fited right up and works perfectly. :). I dont care what you say about Samsung, THIS BABY Is a work of art.

Hands down one of the best and fastest SSD you can use as an external drive for storing ps4 games on your ps5! it's really small and can be placed anywhere. Plugged right at the back of my PS5, transferred all the games at really fast speed. Freed up main drive for ps5 for actual ps5 games.

Purchased a 2TB T7 to replace a 500GB Samsung T5 portable SSD which was running out of space. Runs a bit warmer and is a bit longer but thinner than the T5. It also seems to be a little pickier with USB cables than the T5 (T5 never had an issue with my USB C to A adapter or any cable but my T7 does not work well with it although included cables work fine). Crystal Disk Mark speed test shows speeds as advertised but only for smaller files. For larger files the speeds seem closer to the T5. The T5 and T7 are both fast enough for me and you really can't beat the form factor for convenience of these drives.
One thing to be aware of, the Samsung T7 and T7 touch series use new software, which is different from the old version still required to use with the older drives. I now have both the Samsung SSD Software (original for my T5 which I still use) and the new Samsung SSD V1.0 software for my T7 on my desktop PC, Microsoft Surface and all my phones. I am not sure who at Samsung thought this confuaing naming convention or requiring different apps was a good idea but it is confusing, eapecially when I cant read the full name of the app on my phone and have to guess which one I need to launch. If I had known they require me to use two different (but similarly named) apps to unlock the drives, I might have stuck with the T5 for now so I am deducting a star from my review. Hopefully Samsung can make it so all of their drives use the same app.

So far, this little booger is pretty awesome. It's solid state, so it's quite zippy. And it comes with two cables. One does USB-C to USB-C. The other is USB-C to standard USB size. Both the cables are really short. An excellent choice for a portable solid state hard drive.

The device is Fast and reliable, easily transported. I use it on several devices at home. Also use it as a Network USB storage in my Netgear Modem/router.
