Excellent performance in a small form factor. I use this for gaming on my MacBook Pro through a hub connected via thunderbolt. It’s virtually as fast as the internal drive and yet small enough to be portable if I need it to be.

I don't trust, don't like, and won't use any kind of "cloud" storage, as your data and info are not stored in a cloud, but on a physical server somewhere that someone in the know can get access to. Yes there is encryption etc. I don't trust it. Since I don't, I store and back up everything I have on physical flashdrives or SSD drives. Samsung have always been great for me, and these are no different. Some other SSDs get very hot, but not Samsung. They always do what they are supposed to do. Have never had any problems, and on sale are a great value.

Very solid external hard drive. Plug and play. excellent for storing videos and pictures. Solid state definitely the way to go over conventual hard drives

It started running a back up the moment I said "go" It has been a reliable option as my main back up on my MacBook Air running Time Machine. East to access to view the saved data.

This external USB drive is a very impressive product. Connectivity and access parameters are excellent. Samsung continues to offer software updates on this product suggesting continued support is a welcome virtue.

It holds more than I thought it would it's a convenient size to be portable and very strong compared to the old type hard drives

I use these for doing music audio production. They work fine and are portable so I can take them anywhere. Fast and efficient and at a good price!

I purchased this drive to be able to bring various files along with me when not at home, This is good if you have limited disk capacity and no network connectivity to any cloud services. I formatted the unit in APFS to work with a 16" M1 Pro MacBook. I added several containers (think partitions) to store data in easy to retrieve locations. Data transfer times are very fast between this device and the MacBook. Keep in mind the speed of your computer's main disk device and the interface on the machine you will be using this with. I purchased the unit on sale, which made it a very good buy. If 2TB is too large, the units are offered in 1TB and 500GB. Units with slower transfer times are available as well.

I love the small compact size, fast transfer rate using the USB 3.2 Gen 2. The Encryption seems to be solid. Now I am able to re-organize all my files and put all the files I want to make sure I have a back up on this nice portable drive.

This is invaluable to have. Cant tell you how many times i have carted this around with me to get files back in forth to where i need them. 2 TB works great, can be used as a Time Machine backup, but why GO Raid. As a Portable drive this is fantastic. 2 TB is the right amount of storage to get anything you could possible image from point a to point b.. I am using this as a Sample Storage for Music studio (AND YES, samples can take up a TB or two easy) but also music score info.. This cuts down on having to carry so much clutter with me.. Simply fits in the pocket and off i go.. When i use it for my IT stuff i can keep just about all the code i need for reference along with ANY MSDN docs and installs. Perfect companion for on the go.

This External SSD drive does exactly what it should. It’s fast, reliable and portable. Transferring files from a computer is crazy fast along with none of the normal spinning hard drive problems where I’d you bump the drive while in use you lose all of your data. The only negative is the size - I wish it could be more compact.

Samsung does it right... fast, reliable, good aesthetics and compact. It's easy to travel with and sturdy even though it is not the "rugged" model. All things being good or great I went for a 5-start rating because it comes with both USB-C to C short cable and a second cable USB-C to USB-A. For me the inclusion of both cables made this a perfect package at a reasonable price.

This is so small and has a lot of space for files. It's very easy to use. It is also expensive. If you have the money and need to back up files, this will be great. I just can't believe the pocketability of this product.

Small and fast with USB-C Connectivity. Gets a little warm with high use but otherwise a good choice.

Love everything about it. Large capacity for an ssd drive, speed, reliability, looks. You get the quality you pay for here. I have a few with different colors for easy identification.

Bought for my PS5 since the PS5's storage is low. I have a lot of PS4 games and PS5 games that I had to keep deleting so when I finally got this storage I was relieved that I wouldn't have to keep reinstalling games. And since I heard the T7 was a really fast External drive I knew I had to get it. And it is! It's very quick at downloading games and loading them as well. I thought maybe I'd be waiting a bit longer since it's playing off a External SSD but nope! It's almost as fast as the PS5 SSD when loading my PS4 games up. Also with the recent software update on PS5 I can now store my PS5 games on here to which is fantastic! I've already used over half way of the storage on this thing and still have a lot more room for extra PS4 games.

I have years worth of photography on one drive. I have not yet had a crash *knock on wood* and hope I can keep my photography for years to come!

Works as planned .... easy to use ! I plugged it in and all good!
