I bought the specifically for my PS5 since Sony was very generous with the 800GB they gave to use at launch....lol This adds a full 1TB since there is no "system files" or chunk of storage reserved, which is what the PS5 needs/does with it's internal storage. I was skeptical since the PS5 was having issues with external storages drives with a handful of systems, but wow I must tell you - I'm shocked how FAST this thing performs. No joke, games pulled from this SSD seem to load faster that when they were on the internal drive! I transferred all my PS4 games onto this is a matter of minutes, when it took over an hour to transfer to the PS5 initially! This thing is super small which is nice. I already have too many games I'm in the middle of and couldn't load up some of the PS5 games I bought - now I have plenty of room for awhile and shouldn't have a storage issue. I was iffy about spending this much on PS5 storage but absolutely glad I did! Got it on sale for $160 and would recommend to anyone needing more gaming storage!

It’s incredibly small, which is excellent for personal use. The files transfer quicker than other external hard drives. I wish it had more storage capacity, but for the size of this product, it’s pretty good. For a easily portable storage product this more than exceeds expectations.

It's amazing how things get smaller. I have an external hard drive from a few years ago that has a 500gb capacity and this is double that at 1tb but a third of the size. Plus it's Samsung which is always a great product. From TV's to this device Samsung has never let me down. Easy to load, small and convenient- it's great, highly recommended!

Purchased a 2TB T7 to replace a 500GB Samsung T5 portable SSD which was running out of space. Runs a bit warmer and is a bit longer but thinner than the T5. It also seems to be a little pickier with USB cables than the T5 (T5 never had an issue with my USB C to A adapter or any cable but my T7 does not work well with it although included cables work fine). Crystal Disk Mark speed test shows speeds as advertised but only for smaller files. For larger files the speeds seem closer to the T5. The T5 and T7 are both fast enough for me and you really can't beat the form factor for convenience of these drives. One thing to be aware of, the Samsung T7 and T7 touch series use new software, which is different from the old version still required to use with the older drives. I now have both the Samsung SSD Software (original for my T5 which I still use) and the new Samsung SSD V1.0 software for my T7 on my desktop PC, Microsoft Surface and all my phones. I am not sure who at Samsung thought this confuaing naming convention or requiring different apps was a good idea but it is confusing, eapecially when I cant read the full name of the app on my phone and have to guess which one I need to launch. If I had known they require me to use two different (but similarly named) apps to unlock the drives, I might have stuck with the T5 for now so I am deducting a star from my review. Hopefully Samsung can make it so all of their drives use the same app.

You can't go wrong with the T7. It's very compact, fast, comes with both USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables and works great. It can get a little warm under prolonged read/right but other than that I don't see any fault with this mighty drive

What a great 'little' external drive! It's being used to backup a laptop and WOW! What used to take several hours was done in less than 30 minutes! Crazy fast! No bigger than a thick credit card, it's small enough to carry in a pocket or in a drawer! Perfect for my needs!

So far this drive has been great. Very fast and no issues whatsoever. I got it to replace two failing drives and I was able to recover and this guy ate all that data up without any issues.

Fast, lots of storage and very portable and fits anywhere

Slim and quick SSD, comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable, and a USB-C to USB-3 cable. The Samsung Magician application (the only thing on the drive when you plug it in) isn't a bad piece of software. I'd recommend reformatting the drive from exFAT to NTFS, but that's a personal preference for partitioning.

Very good product, found it for $80 and has been durable and fast so far. I use it for gaming and I have about the same speeds that in my internal disk, so it's a good deal so far. Plus it comes with the Samsung software that tells you things like temperature.

Needed a quick and easy way to dump LOTS of videos into storage to give my phone more space. This was super easy plug and play and has ample space to hold everything and more for the future. Decently priced as well. Encryption is straight forward and a much appreciated feature. I also appreciate the compact size.

I love these drives, I have been using them for 2 years I have 3. Super fast and durable. I travel a lot and travel a lot, and they are perfect. You pay a bit more, but to the day I have had no issues with them.
