The T7 Shield delivered a fast data transfer, which is beneficial when transferring image files from 2006 to current. The T7 Shield is light weight and small enough to quickly take it on the go. The water and dust resistant was the reason I purchased this device, I am a careful individual, but the peace of mind was worth it.

Don’t drop this down an elevator shaft or anything like that, but this ssd is actually built pretty sturdy, and it’s meant for field use, and it’s great for local file migrations for the media specialist on the go, or for any technician on a site visit that needs to make larger local data transfers.

I have used external HHD's for years and thought that I would give the external SSD a go and MAN it is a night and day difference in transfer speed, especially when using the USB-C cable I transferred over 17 GB to my MacBook Air in less than a minute.

Over the last year we’ve fazed out the Sandisk ssds because we’ve had too many issues with those. We use a lot of drives as wedding videographers and photographers and have had zero issues with these drives yet.

T7 and T9s are solid drives. Have yet to have one fail. T7s provide a slightly better price point when you don't need the more rugged protection of a T9.

Don't know what some reviews were missing, but I plugged this into my new computer and was able to back up every piece of critical data with the simple right click/copy/paste function in reasonable time. I had 1.5 TB of data, pictures, docs, pdf's & music. No problem. Highly Recomend.

This storage device was overall perfect for my needs. I mainly used it to store the games I normally wouldn't be able to hold on my laptop. The only issue I found was it would have connection issues from time to time where I would have to reset everything to get it to work but otherwise its Ideal.
