Love the fingerprint sensor security and the built quality it great!

Great device for the amount of storage and ID protection.

tiny SSD with privacy protection, not cheap but worth it

I almost returned it as defective! At initial use, the instructions fall somewhere between inadequate and non-existent. My first few trial-and-error attempts to set up password and fingerprint protection failed and indicated a bad drive. But it finally "took" and has not shown any drive issues since. And beware: unless it's hidden somewhere, there appears to be no way to set up fingerprint-only protection; the fingerprint feature is an extension of the password system. Aside from those issues, the T7 Touch has been flawless.

I love love love this external hard drive. I have it to back up content from my iPad Pro and it odd fast! If you need something to directly save from iPad USB-C to a hard drive get this. Love that it had the extra security feature as well!! Slim and slick. Will be buying another.

Probably the best looking SSD on the market. This one in particular is great to keep in your everyday bag when you are on the go because of the extra data encryption. Gives me peace of mind that even if it was stolen that the thief would not be able to access my personal files.

Out of the box I like that this hard drive came with both a USB A to USB C cable and a USB C to USB C cable so I can easily use it with my phone, ipad, and laptop without having to buy additional cables. I would've preferred that the instructions in the box were slightly more in depth on how to do the initial set up but basically you just plug it into your laptop and run the Samsung Magician Software that's on it. It will walk you through setting up a password or fingerprint protections. It's really easy to setup and use gives me peace of mind that my data is protected. I decided to use this hard drive to back up my photos from my phone and DSLR camera. It took approximately 20 minutes to transfer all of the photos from my phone to my laptop and it took less than five for them to transfer to the new hard drive. The light on the hard drive flashes while it's in use to let you know not to unplug it while its writing. I'm pretty hard on electronics, in the two weeks I've been actively using this hard drive I've spilled a glass of sweet tea on it and my cat has knocked it off my desk onto hard wood floor. and it still runs like it's new out of the box. According to the pamphlet in the box its able to withstand a drop up to about 6.6 feet. While I don't ever expect to be dropping this from much higher than that it's nice knowing I don't have to handle it with kid-gloves. So far I've transferred around 3,250 photos to it between my phone and my camera and it's barely made a dent in the storage on this thing. I'm excited to see just how many memories I can fit on this pocket-sized hard drive. Based on my knowledge I expect to be able to get around 40x that on this device without it breaking a sweat. Overall, this hard drive has been great and I would purchase it again.
