Small with lots of storage. Have had a couple large external hard drives fail on me, so this solid state drive is not only easier to store, but also less likely to stop working and cause me to lose lots of pictures and files. Keep a couple to backup photos and other important files from my laptop and phone.

The SanDisk 1TB external drive is easy to use and reliable. Good solution for external storage of material to free up space on your computer hard drive. Additionally, this drive is very portable to move large amounts of data from one site to another. Can also be used to move data to an off site data backup solution. Reasonably fast data transfer.

Works great. Small and compact definitely makes it easy to travel with (though it might make it easy to lose as well) I was able to use it on both my laptop and my iPad so it has no issues with either operating systems. I pursued it on Deal of the Day so I got a nice discount. Good bang for buck.

I love the speed and portability. Makes having the needed extra storage always at your fingertips. Easily frees up needed space on the hard drive and makes working documents seemly to update. With remote work, this drive has made managing my entire work file always accessible from anywhere.

I bought the 500GB Sandisk Extreme SSD 4 months ago. Both the 500GB and 1 Terabyte SSD drives are great and compact storage devices. With my MS Surface book, these devices are fast and easy for mobile transport! Great back up drives. Totally would recommend these drives to my friends and any one.

Good speed, great size. But: - It gets really hot, almost too hot to touch after 15 minutes of use. - The heat makes me nervous about the long-term performance. I think this thing will die soon. - I read similar stories in other reviews where the drive worked well for the first few months and then died. Most of those people also complained about heat issues. This much heat is not normal, and I'm worried my drive will also have a short life. So far it hasn't died on me, but then I've only used it for a few weeks.

Purchased to replace older external hard-drive that I carry with my laptop. I trust SanDisk from past experiences. This solid-state drive is very fast for file transfer, and is small enough to pack easily. So far, durability has been good, bouncing around in my backpack every week. Would recommend.

1tb is an amazing amount of space in such a super small package! It's fast and reliable. I will be purchasing more of these for backups. No noise and super low power usage.you can keep it on your key chain and not notice it's there

Encourage you to buy this if you are on the market for a rugged, fast ssd. Performance is good and can sustain opening large files or video games without disconnecting or crashing. My ONLY gripe is I wish it came with an indicator light.

This is the best external drive I have ever used. It works super fast and smooth with all my devices including my IPad Pro and MacBook. The device is so handy and portable and the built quality is amazing. It feels superior while holding. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I bought this unit for a conference. It was so light that I clipped it to my back pack for convenience. It has a tb of storage so it has lots of room for pictures and video. It's solid state so I don't have to be concerned with it being bumped around.

I love this solid state drive! This SSD is small in size but it’s packing durability, ease of use and fast. I use it for music playback and picture storage. This is worth every penny that was spent!

I have dozens of storage drives. This is my first SSD. This won't be my last. I am a photographer, and the ease of use, and small size is fantastic. Speed is great to. Once price goes down, I will buy much more.

It works quite well and what's there not to like? The capacity is more then good enough for what I'm using it for and I can access the files quickly. There's no worries about moving parts and is not as fragile as a portable hard drive, and a lot more compact. It's seems to be well constructed and feels solid. I think it would be a nice feature to have some type of plug or filler that could be installed in the port to keep out dust and dirt as your carrying it around. Other then that, a good unit and a good price when you can get on the Deal of the Day. Paying regular price is a bit much but I'm sure the prices should come down some more over time....hopefully:)

I use this everyday. It's a great ssd thats fast and reliable. The portability allows me to take projects from home to the office and back easily.

I only buy SanDisk SD cards for my cameras because of their reliability. Since I've never had an issue with any of my SanDisk products, I decided to buy this external SanDisk SSD. It has given my computer new life as the boot drive with all my software installed: very fast startup, programs launch quickly, and everything about my computer is so much faster and more responsive! There is a slightly more expensive version of this SSD that is about twice as fast (NVMe type), but your computer will need a fast USB C 3.2 input to take full advantage of it's speed. This version is still very good and cheaper.

I bought this for a college student. The size and capacity was impressive. Far easier to use than a powered external hard drive. Speed is decent. I would recommend again.

Great storage option for travelers. This drive is very small and durable. If you are still using a spinning portable hard drive you will love the speed and durability of an SSD.
