Customers consistently note the PLUS 120GB Internal SATA Solid State Drive's excellent performance and ease of installation, leading to significantly faster boot times. Many appreciate its affordability and suitability for everyday computing tasks. However, some users point out the limited storage capacity as a potential drawback for those needing to store large amounts of data. The drive's small size is seen as both an advantage and a disadvantage depending on individual needs.

Purchased this cheap SSD to upgrade my old laptop. This SSD is cheap for a reason. Feel cheap in hand, body is made of plastic, and packaging that the SSD came in is not the greatest. For the money, you really can't complain about quality. Good for just upgrading from any old mechanic hard-drive.

This SSD is like a bullet. My dad has a 2011 HP laptop, nothing high end for the time, an i5 2nd gen processor, and I talked him into upgrading that crappy WD Blue HDD it has to this Sandisk SSD. It boots up in exactly 14 seconds, shuts down even faster, and programs open like a bullet. It's the best investment you can make for a laptop that doesn't have a discreet graphics chip like a Geforce or Radeon. Otherwise, you'd need a Sandisk Ultra with 3D NAND technology if your laptop uses either. For regular integrated graphics, this SSD is the perfect match for it. You won't even recognize your laptop when you set up this bad boy. In conclusion, this will breathe new life into older laptops. I highly recommend it.

This is the second time I have purchased this SSD. I use them in a Windows workstation running virtual machines.
I have one that boots the OS (Windows 10) and the other that my virtual machines load from. These make the system very speedy with the Linux and Windows Server virtual machines loading in about 12 seconds.
These are a great value for the money and will serve the user well.

Planned to migrate the operating system (Windows 10) to an isolated solid state drive, and the SanDisk 120Gb was just the right size, speed and cost. Did install the OS and this drive was great for the task, then the disk controller failed on the mainboard so we replaced the computer. But will probably install this on the new computer and move the OS over to it, most likely along with a couple of key software packages.

I have several SSD's including the new M.2 drive and this drive by far is one of the best hard drives for the money! I have a Samsung Evo 250g drive and there is no noticeable difference in speed. According to benchmark testing even the EVO Pro is supposed to be faster but this SATA SSD is equal to any of the more expensive ones that I have purchased. I am no longer going to buy the expensive ones because this SanDisk is more than sufficient for what I do. I bought another one for my office manager's computer and is a ton faster than her mechanical drive! You will not be disappointed in this purchase and Best Buy matches Amazon's prices so make sure you compare and save!!!

SanDisk 120 GB Version has a solid purpose

Installed in my older Dell 660s as my boot drive (Windows 10) with several apps. This improved overall system performance immensely. The SanDisk SSD dashboard shows 6GB connection. For my purpose the drive is perfect, and offers a 3 year warranty. I am still using the existing HDD for data storage. I also ordered the WD Blue 1 TB version (with 5 year warranty) and installed that in our HP all in one computer (after cloning the 1 TB 7200 WD Blue HDD drive), which has a more critical role for family pictures /videos, etc. Overall I like the quality and value of both drives.

I really like SanDisk Solid State Drives. They are noticeably faster, and more reliable than spinning hard drives, and I have noticed that when I replace my old MacBook Pro SSDs with SanDisk drives, they run better. Apple's quality control is really starting to break down. The products they release get exponentially less reliable as time goes on, so it's nice to know a third party like SanDisk is still making good quality materials.

I bought the 120GB Sandisk SSD when it was on sale and was going to be used in a 2011 HP laptop. At first I did not know that SATA III was backwards compatible with SATA II which is what the laptop has but I was happy to see no conflicts or issues. The hard drive that the laptop originally came with was a WD Blue and boy was it slow. After installing this into the laptop and getting everything set up, its lightning quick to boot, shut down, open programs/applications, its all a bullet. If you're looking to revitalize your old computer and turn it from sluggish mess into greased lightning, getting an SSD is the way to go.

I needed this for a older HP Elitebook laptop. This one seemed to be forgotten, as it was hiding in the upper level stock area. The associate was very helpful to retrieve it. Drive installed easily and sped up the computer noticeably.

If your computer is slow then upgrading your HD to a SSD is the easiest and cheapest upgrade. This is a good SSD for someone who is doing everyday computing and does not store a lot of info on the computer. An Asus laptop with a celeron nu series processor and 4gb of ram takes less than 30 secs for a full boot and ready to use in my case.

It was an easy install into my older thinkpad tablet. My laptop runs quicker vs the old hard drive that eventually crashed. I chose the smaller size because I'm only running a linux Mint and not MS windows.

I used the Sand Disk SSD to run windows 10 on an old Asus laptop with an Intel 5 processor (Sandy bridge). This laptop use to take about 5 minutes to open google and internet explorer browsers on a good day (Not kidding). I couldn't believe how fast this computer became after I switch hard drives. As a matter of fact, we use this laptop for my kid online schooling. By the way, I have two other laptops. I bought one in 2014 (AMD A6 processor) and the other in 2018 (i3 processor). The Asus run everything smoother and faster thanks to the new installed Sand Disk SSD drive.

I have bought 10+ of these drives, whenever someone has an older laptop that needs a speedboost on the cheap.
I have bought PNY drives in the past but I trust sandisk quality over PNY.
I have not benchmarked them but they are cheaper and build quality is lower than the samsung evo drives but speeds appear to still be pretty quick.
These are all plastic versus samsung which is aluminum.
If you need something that is cheap and still a decent brand, look no further.
