USB C Speed! Combo USB Stick!

I love the combo USB B and USB C. What can I say? It works! I suspect that the lever to switch will break with further use. But it gives you flexibility. You can attach it to your keys if you buy a leash sold separately.

Versatile storage for portable devices

I purchased the SanDisk Ultra with type C connector for add on storage for my cell phone (ZTE Axon 7). The device was very easy to use, simply plug and play and your off. The great thing about this aside from the amount of storage is the dual connection ability. I haven't seen many phones using the type C connections yet, so that great. With the addition of the standard USB connection as well the device makes moving files back and forth between a cell phone and PC or tablet a breeze. The device is small enough that you can carry it on your keychain so you always have it available. I use mine specifically for large files, especially my movie library so that I have entertainment anywhere I go. This is definitely one of the most versatile portable storage devices I have seen, and the cost will not break the bank. I would recommend to anyone with a storage need and one or more devices using either the type C or standard USB connections.

Fast and Small

This thing is awesome. I needed something to go back and forth between a USB-C MacBook Pro and other, USB-A devices. This works great. The transfer speed is fast enough for large files and I LOVE the storage capacity. I could not find any other USB-C flash drives with that capacity for this price range. Be warned, though, it is tiny. I have been nervous that I was going to lose it, so I put it on a lanyard. It was really difficult to fish the string through the lanyard mount on the top, but I was able to get it to work by fishing a twist-tie wire through first, then hooking the lanyard string and pulling out the wire which fed through the string.

Given that we're in the period where there are still plenty of devices out there with the older USB style ports as well as newer devices that have only USB-C ports, may folks will run into issues transferring data between those platforms. You could invest in a bunch of different cables or adapters for cables, but then you have to keep up with them. They also aren't convenient to carry around in your pocket if needed. This device solves that problem and gives you backup copy of files (which no cable is going to do). Simple slider controls which port type is usable, Portability, plug and play simplicity, good speed, and San Disk quality/reliability. And Best Buy frequently puts it on sale. What more could you ask for?

Tricky to Work

As a drive, this works great. Conceptually, SanDisk could have had a great product by including both USB-C and 3.1 connections. This is especially important during a time when so many computers are transitioning from one to the other. The problem I have is in the design. The switch on top is flimsy. In fact, the actual switch pops off extremely easily. But even worse is that trying to plug either side into a computer is nearly impossible because the switch doesn't stay in place. In other words, if I try to plug the USB 3.1 side, it gets pushed back inside the casing because the switch isn't strong enough to hold it in place.

Having a new Macbook I needed something with a USB C that would easily transfer to my tv, with a USB. This was perfect for that! Tons of space. Fast. Convenient. LOVE the size and ease. I would just say that it's a little pricey for what it is.

Excellent for Samsung Galaxy owners with USB-C connections. Used to copy photos, videos and music from and to Samsung Galaxy S10. Will be testing for Sentry Cam use in Tesla Model 3 (makes it easy to plug in USB-A into the car; then remove and plug into Samsung Galaxy S10 to view footage via USB-C. Just remember to create a folder named "TeslaCam" (without the quotation marks).
Device does get warm when you use it and transfer many files. I assume that's built-in to the tolerance of the drive itself but I wouldn't want to subject the drive to extended frequent read/write access in a warm environment.

Accessibility across all computers

I recently replaced my tried and true MacBook Pro with a new one sporting only USB-C ports. And while hubs and converters were available to use any thumb drives I wanted to try out these ports natively. This drive was the best way to do that and still have it usable on older machines. USB-C on one side USB 3.0 on the other, whichever port is on your computer there's access to it. Speeds are giddily fast (my old MBP was still USB 2.0 so there was an incredible speed boost with this one). There were no noticeable speed loss when using a converter or hub from my less than scientific tests and no data corruption. My only concern is since there are moving pieces something may give out at some point but brand new and with little use it's solid enough and I have not had any issues. There is a loop to connect a keyring or such for ease of carrying but it's directly in the center of the drive (right underneath the "SanDisk" logo) which makes it not too easy to carry around. A connector coming out of each side and a slider switch on top I see why this was done but it doesn't make this an optimal place for it.
If you're making the change to a device with USB-C this is a fantastic little drive to have. One caveat: I bought this one on sale when the 128GB drive cost less than the 64GB version... keep an eye out for sales!! No matter what capacity, everyone should be getting one of these in the future if not now.

I like this drive because it's small and fairly easy to use. It fits snug in the phone so it won't easily fall out. A side slider makes it easy to expose a USB C plug, a micro USB plug or hide both plugs. The interface software (available for Android and iPhone) is available online and easy to use.
One issue of note: it's a good idea to learn how your phone will let you safely eject the drive as simply pulling it out after use may corrupt the data stored.

I needed a removable storage option that I could easily use between my USB C only Apple MBP and other non-USB C devices. Lo and behold this beauty! It has a large storage capacities and works easily. Just slide the connection port needed to get the job done. When done using the product both connection ends slide discreetly into the housing so no worrying about damaging the connector. I wish there was a sturdy click or some indicator to let you know that both connectors are securely housed in the device. I would often slide too far in either direction and cause the connector on one side to protrude slightly. Aside from that, this product is excellent.

Very easy to use, just plug it in your cell phone( Type-C connection) and download the SanDisk app and your ready to backup all your stuff. And when your done, just plug it in your computer to see all your stuff. Because its USB 3.1, it's really fast.

My wife has a Pixelbook and Pixel phone which do not have your standard USB connection. Therefore, this allows for her to backup her photos, video, etc. Honestly, it's a great purchase. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and I use this as a firm backup to my cloud and micro-sd that I have within my phone. It does it's job, fast and well. Plus the price with this quality can't be beat.

It's a great little USB-C flash drive! It works on my Pixel 2 (will update for Pixel 5 later on) for transferring files, particularly photos! Since Google doesn't offer unlimited, full resolution backups to the drive anymore, this has been very handy.
It does run a bit hot when in use so be warned, but transferring files was fairly quick!

When I purchased my new MacBook Air, I saw the only ports on the laptop were 2 USB-C ports. Which meant none of my current flash drives were compatible with my new computer. Although there is a converter available to resolve this issue, I prefer to keep things simple. This flash drive fits the bill beautifully. It’s fast, and the super compact size is a real bonus.

This little device is a life saver between the new Mac and any USB port. The C-type works perfectly with my Mac book pro and then I can use the USB on my desk top. It makes it easier to transfer and keep files safe verses using a cloud storage site or application. You don't even need to buy a converter for the USB for the Mac. It worked as advertised however it is very plastic looking but I don't mind.

Single greatest flash drive

Single greatest flash drive. (Features\Compatibility\Value). I see that the normal price of this product is $74.99 for a 128 GB stick which is a bit much. I purchased them on sale for $19.99 ea. My only regret is that I didn’t buy 10 more while they were on sale still. A must have product especially if you have an iPad Pro or MacBook Pro with less than adequate storage space. Given the ability to instantly switch from USB-C to the traditional USB format with just a slide of your finger makes it extremely versatile. I will never buy another Apple product with a large memory capacity ever again, there is no need when you can literally save hundreds of dollars and also have the added comfort in knowing your files are backed up in multiple places if you wish.
