Excellent SSD. Not doing anything intensive like gaming. Great for upgrading an old mechanical drive.

I was tempted to keep this item for my own pc but did the right thing and used it to upgrade an older pc for a friend. I will be getting one for myself. It is very quick and made by a trusted name in flash and portable storage devices.

Excellent SSD! It gets a good rating and deserves it. I purchased it to replace a hard drive that died. It was an old machine with a large hard drive. You may have to get a bracket for the SanDisk. I was able to use the SanDisk without a bracket. I put a new Windows 10 operating system on it and it installed quickly with no problems. It is much faster that the old hard drive. Great product.

Great drive. It is inexpensive, and plenty fast for a standard business use computer.

The San disk was very instrumental in the update of my computer...I am very pleased with the results.

I installed this SSD in a mid-2011 iMac to replace the original HDD, which I kept as an internal storage drive/TimeMachine backup. Benchmark tests show this SSD being more than 10x faster read/write than the HDD and my iMac now boots in seconds (10-12), rather than minutes (3-4). This upgrade is 100% worth the investment and will keep my iMac running like new for the next few years, at least. Highly recommended!

I'm using this as a second drive in my system (my boot drive is a 256GB SSD) and it works perfectly. Are there faster SSDs? Yes. Are there cheaper SSDs? Again, yes. This unit seems to offer the best price/performance I can find.

I bought this to replace a hard drive that was barely a year old for my wife’s laptop. Worked perfectly. Her laptop now boots in 10 seconds. You will need a reload disk or software to clone the old hard drive to this new one.

Drive works well. Enables my 10 year old PC to boot in 15 seconds. Seems very refreshed.

Upgraded an OS Drive on a cheap dell server I had...this drive was one of the cheapest 500GB SSD's in stock at my local Best Buy so I went for it. An SSD these days should just be plug & play and shouldn't require any extra effort beyond plugging in and maybe configuring bios to boot from it. Fortunately, that was the case for me as this drive worked right out of the box with no issues - would buy again.

Really improves PC and laptop performance. Price is a fraction of what it would have been a year or two ago. The downside is that it comes with no installation instructions or software. I'm tech savvy but it took most of a day to install it as a replacement for existing HD. Required internet research and downloading several programs before I found a free one that worked. Once done the computer ran better than new, starting and loading programs fast. And no problems so far.

I bought this for my laptop to upgrade to an ssd drive, but I had to get just a little bit larger to make it work for my laptop. It was 480Gb, and I needed the 512GB I bought after it. I will save this ssd for some future use.

If you have an older laptop that has gotten too slow to use or the hard drive is shot. Get one of these. I have a 11 yr old asus laptop that the drive crashed. Kept it around in hopes of someday recovering data on it. I needed a laptop for a christmas display I did so I threw this drive in it and WOW. It was faster than my newer computer. Turns on and is ready to use in about 10 seconds. Great purchase

if you need a ssd without breaking the bank this a great alternative. The speed and overall performance may not be as great as other brands but this is no slough at all. It works great the first time out and I have a few of these. I wish it came with cloning software but you can find those yourself. For the price it is hard to beat and it comes from a company that has been in business for years. Definitely a good purchase.

This is a great drive. Easy to install and cheap when on sale.
