Good budget ssd for gaming or any performance needs.

I bought this for my laptop to upgrade to an ssd drive, but I had to get just a little bit larger to make it work for my laptop. It was 480Gb, and I needed the 512GB I bought after it. I will save this ssd for some future use.

Really improves PC and laptop performance. Price is a fraction of what it would have been a year or two ago. The downside is that it comes with no installation instructions or software. I'm tech savvy but it took most of a day to install it as a replacement for existing HD. Required internet research and downloading several programs before I found a free one that worked. Once done the computer ran better than new, starting and loading programs fast. And no problems so far.

This is a great drive. Easy to install and cheap when on sale.

Upgraded an OS Drive on a cheap dell server I had...this drive was one of the cheapest 500GB SSD's in stock at my local Best Buy so I went for it. An SSD these days should just be plug & play and shouldn't require any extra effort beyond plugging in and maybe configuring bios to boot from it. Fortunately, that was the case for me as this drive worked right out of the box with no issues - would buy again.

Excellent SSD. Not doing anything intensive like gaming. Great for upgrading an old mechanical drive.

Put this in a 2010 MacBookPro along with more RAM and it runs the latest OS with ease and speed. Good investment since it can later be put in an external case for future use when the MBP finally gives up someday.

The San disk was very instrumental in the update of my computer...I am very pleased with the results.

if you need a ssd without breaking the bank this a great alternative. The speed and overall performance may not be as great as other brands but this is no slough at all. It works great the first time out and I have a few of these. I wish it came with cloning software but you can find those yourself. For the price it is hard to beat and it comes from a company that has been in business for years. Definitely a good purchase.

I was a little bit late into the solid state drive (SSD) market, but I am glad I made the switch. This drive made a very significant difference in the speed of my machine. I only wish I would have switched sooner.

If you have an older laptop that has gotten too slow to use or the hard drive is shot. Get one of these. I have a 11 yr old asus laptop that the drive crashed. Kept it around in hopes of someday recovering data on it. I needed a laptop for a christmas display I did so I threw this drive in it and WOW. It was faster than my newer computer. Turns on and is ready to use in about 10 seconds. Great purchase

I purchased this as a third "gaming only" drive on my Alienware Aurora R7 gaming PC. My PC came with a small 128GB SSD for the OS so I wanted a bigger SSD for gaming. I am extremely impressed with the speed gain (load times) on games. Everything runs 4x - 16x faster. Minutes turn into seconds. Is a much better experience. For less than $100 this is a must buy. Installation was easy, just make sure you have the power and data transfer cables!
