I have been using the Microsoft Elite Series 2 for a little over a year. It's an excellent controller and I definitely recommend it. I mention it because that's what made me hesitant to try the Scuf Instinct Pro. Some things I prefer on the Scuf: 1. Precise, smooth analog sticks. 2. fantastic grip for your palms. 3. Fantastic triggers. 4. Trigger stops turns the impulse triggers in to mouse click, mechanical triggers. I have some nitpicks. 1. To change out the sticks, you have to take the magnetic faceplate off and pull the sticks off the mechanism. Compared to the Elite's magnetic solution, it's just not as intuitive. 2. While buttons can be remapped to the back buttons on the fly, it's not as intuitive as the Elite's software solution built in to the Xbox. I think based on a pure money/value comparison, I would point people toward the Elite Series 2. The software customization is too good and it's a very nice controller. That being said, I keep finding myself picking up the Scuf controller for my play sessions now.

Absolute game changer! Not having to worry about detachable paddles and a more comfortable grip surface. Definitely worth the buy. Won’t make you better but will make you feel better!

I prefer the feel of this controller over the Elite Series 2. However, the back buttons take some getting used to. Some may prefer paddles but the buttons on this controller work extremely well and are comfortable once you get used to them. The instant trigger feel nice but aren’t game changing unless you plan to repeatedly click them.

I've used several controllers with attachments (paddles, buttons, etc..) and this feels a bit more responsive than its peers. The controller is a little small for my tastes, but still is very comfortable in the hands.

Its a solid controller with a good weight and feel. It has some cool features but overall its really overpriced and after using it prefer the elite 2 xbox which is cheaper and comes with a case and inter changeable features. This only gives u a battery, cheap plastic sticks and a cord. I used a gift card to get it other wise i wouldnt have gotten it . I do like the interchangeable face plates that is cool

Excellent controller for the consistent causal or someone trying to get an extra edge in shooters or games with skill gaps. The back buttons fit perfectly for my hands and the grips add a nice touch of control and feel. Haven’t even thought of touching a stock Xbox controller again and won’t for the future.

Ive been using this controller for the past 2 months and its been amazing. No stick drift. The controller is really light compared to the microsoft pro controller. The only con is it burns through batteries like crazy.

Probably one of the best controllers. I just don’t like the fact it takes regular batteries for $200+. Functions great but not being able to recharge for that price is a deal breaker for me. Now buttons don’t get jammed. And that’s something I haven’t found in any controller. If this controller was chargeable I’d rank it 1

Love it and have the past 2 years. I game 8-10 hours a day and has yet to fail me. Love the feel, comfort/non-slip don't make my hands sweaty kind of controller. Mostly play pubg (works well) and other 1st person shooter games. Would recommend.

This gaming controller feels very comfortable in hand and has excellent build quality. The anti stick-drift technology works great, keeping inputs accurate and stable. It’s easy to use, responsive, and perfect for long gaming sessions.

Feels just like a regular Xbox controller in hand with a bit more weight, but not nearly as much as the series 2 controller. Paddle placement is amazing, and it's the only controller paddles I was able to get used to. Very responsive, and profiles being on controller (avoiding software to make small changes) is a big bonus. Unfortunately, this was my second one as this controller is not immune to stick drift. That said, I'm still buying the same one as all alternatives I've tried haven't felt the same, so it's worth the headache.

After using it for a year i would say it is worth getting the controller. it holds and you can customize your back button on how you want it. And change the front cover if you like. The grip feels good when you're holding it. You're less likely to sweat if you have sweaty hands after playing all day lol. Yes its a little pricey but compared to the other controllers I've use, id recommend this one. but if you want to go for a cheaper route I'd go with turtle beach stealth ultra if you want to save a couple bucks. not a lot but you save some lol.

It’s a comfortable, overall good controller. Extreme lack of customization for the controller compared to the PlayStation version which seems poorly planned on the companies side. The left and right sticks have an extremely sharp jump in response from the delay (and again, there’s no way to customize this). This means if you’re looking for this controller for fast-paced fps games, be mindful that the delay can be jarring and increase difficulty with micro movements. The price is a little high especially considering the points listed earlier. Overall, I give it 3 stars, good, clean looking, comfortable controller; but they clearly did the bare minimum here.

I did lots of research before getting this, I have the elite2 and wanted to try this mainly for the back control. If I’m playing an FPS I’m quicker with the elite paddles (use all 4). If you haven’t used a premium controller this one seems like it would be easier to convert from standard than the elite. I was going to only keep one and was sure the elite 2 would be going back, but I’m keeping both. I like the elite 2 for FPS when I need every single advantage. But the scuf is awesome as well. Scuff feels way better in hand, both elite 2 and scuf triggers very good. Obviously what’s best controller is subjective

    Great Performance, Uncomfortable Paddles

The SCUF controller is very responsive and performs well in-game. The build quality feels solid, and the buttons are quick and precise. However, compared to the Xbox Elite controller and other similar models, the paddle design is a drawback. Instead of being elevated, the paddles sit inside the controller, making them less comfortable to press—especially for someone with decent-sized hands. The positioning requires more effort to activate, which can be frustrating during extended gameplay. Overall, it’s a great controller, but the paddle design could be improved for better ergonomics.

I prefer the elite 2 as it has a better layout for the back buttons. However if you havent already trained yourself to jse the Elite controller layout I could see this layout being advantageous. Finally an aftermarket controller for Xbox that is actually wireless. Seems to be quality and is far liter than the elite controller. I had a little bit of an issue with a sticky trigger that eventually worked itself out after breaking in but otherwise a good piece of kit.
