Sounds like it'll jump off the table, and thats when its sitting on the rubber feet, can't imagine if it wa laying flat on a surface (the wider parts have no rubber feet). During use its fairly quiet, but when it spins up the heads its like my phone set to vibrate and laying on a table, but 10x louder. Its that bad. Plus Windows will sometimes query the drive randomly and it'll spin up and trigger the vibration noises, even when I'm not using the computer, and gives me a jump scare from across the room. Last negative is this only has a 1 year warranty in the US and inside the case it has the inferior barracuda drive (not exos). Norrmally barricuda drives have a 2 year warranty, but this external drive only has 1yr.

Pretty Good Data rates for a HDD. Doesnt take up Space. Very Quite.

If you need to back up files or transfer files from old to a new computer this hardrive will do the job greatly!

Slow at the best of times.... But I knew that before I purchased it. What I did not expect was how short the best of times was, stopped working early on the second day of use. I transferred a little less than 2 terabytes off of some flash drives and SD cards I had because I needed to clear them for use with other projects and now I'm trying desperately to see if there is anyway to recover the nearly 2 terabytes of data I put on it before I return it. Don't waste your time with physical HDDs anymore, the money you save will matter very little when you have to waste time trying to recover data and in the end, if you are like me you will end up spending what you should've originally on the best external SSD that you can find in hopes that you won't have to go through the same ordeal again.

Good product. Fast to install. Lightweight to carry around.

I ordered to two drives. The operation of this NVH is not ideal for a desktop backup device. This thing vibrates stronger than my cellphone. After checking the internal drive information CrystalDiskInfo....it confirmed Barracuda inside...versus other lucky buyers getting Enterprise EXOS rated. Chose to return for NVH and Barracuda Reliability.

I hear lot noise generating while copy data and system running for any read from folders

Just received this drive. It won't even power on. Box was not damaged so I don't know what the issue is. Will be returning.

Died after 3 days of use. Noisy as old floppy disk. Now I get refurbished drive trough warranty.

I have bought two of these hard drives now. Both of them stopped allowing me to write to the drive. The first one stopped after eight months, the second one stopped after two weeks. That is a lot of storage to put on a hard drive and not have reliability. I understand they can’t stay good forever, but less than a year is outrageous.

If I could give this fragile piece of junk zero stars I would after owning it for less than 30 days it accidentally fell over on my desk and I lost everything I had saved to it - completely unrecoverable,

The Hard Drive stopped working in less than a month. I wasn't using Seagate products for a long time because of quality issues and gave them a second chance again. Poor decision. Never again.

Dead on arrival. Would not power on showed zero signs of life.

Never receive the product, which I really wanted, Bestbuy sucks
