I have several large Seagate expansion drives. This one is attached to my NAS as additional back-up storage. Easy set-up and access, did not need to do a special format. Quick discover and steady transfer rates.

DIGITAL STORAGE - Great price for the TBs

Pretty decent write/read speeds, cont complain. not a stickler to much on that stuff, just hoping this last way longer than my previous ones.

Seagate ext backup drives is THE way to BACKUP

I worked for Seagate many years ago and sold a variation of drives to resellers in the New England area. I had to know the features and benefits of the drive and its capabilities. I love these backup drives. I have one for my PC and another for my laptop.

Worked great at first but didnt last 6 months

Worked well until about a week ago. Now it does not show up in file manager. But does show up in device manager. It is makes noises and clicks when disconnected. Tried using on 4 different computers with same issues purchased recommended replacement power adapter and cable still doesnt work. I will be contacting seagate to see what can be done. Ridiculous that it quit working not even 6 months after purchase. I cant believe i lost 200-300gbs of important data because of this hdd
