Great storage for ps4 games. Can download ps5 games on it but it has to be on ssd or main storage ps5 memory to play ps5 games. But can still play ps4 games that are saved on it

I was originally hesitant about using an external to run my ps4 games. I have 300+ in my library and currently 111 of them on my external which has only required 25% of the space. This is one of the best purchases ive made. A must have for all PlayStation users!

Amazing storage device. I have a PS5 now so it’s good to have this external to keep all of my PS4 games on.

I transferred all my games to this external hard drive then plugged it into my new PS4 and all the games were available to play right away, no wait whatsoever. Make sure you turn off the PS4 before unplugging this device, because I accidentally unplugged the ps4 while it was on and it corrupted all the data so I had to reformat the hard drive (delete everything) in order for it to work again.

It really works good on my ps5 for my ps4 games i would recommend it to any one that is loling for external hard drive

Bought to use with my PS4. Perfect as it gives me the extra space I need. Pretty easy to use-you just plug it in and you will have to format it prior to using it the first time. Playstation will walk you thru that process and then you’re good to go. Switched to digital games so they take up a lot of room and this helps a lot so I don't have to go and delete a bunch of stuff just to make room for new games.

Works with the ps5! i got this as a gift for someone for their ps5 and it works great, you just can’t launch games from it

I would advise anyone to do their research before buying this, thinking it might work for their PlayStation 5. It will only work for PlayStation 4 Games and Media. The first one I bought solely holds my PS4 games and works fine, but these will not work for PS5 games and media. Furthermore, the way the PlayStation 5 operates, it will not let you play games from an external hard drive. You can only export games to the hard drive, but when you want to play them, you must redownload the game from the hard drive back to the internal before you can play it. Now you know, do with this information, what you will. I’m not going to blame the product for best buys poor marketing. The first one I bought worked exactly for what I needed. Now I just have an extra.

This game drive is definitely one that should be given nothing short of a 5 star rating. It has stored practically 95% of my game collection and it is excellent to use. I no longer have to worry about deleting games...You can just pop it the game and it is already there. Having a first generation model PS4 it is a must if you have a library of games you want to keep. You will not be disappointed in the least.

Great external to have saves time so you don't have to remove games

At the moment after almost a year with the hardrive, I've had no problems. There were multiple blackouts throughout the year and it did mess up initially so I just always turn off my PS5 after I'm done using it. It really doesn't have a huge capacity for games and apps. Ive downloaded many onto the harddrive and I've barelt scratched the surface.
