This external hard drive is recommended only if you download lots of games or add one. Otherwise stick the 2Tb. I got it because I have a lot of games and data. The set up on the Ps4 was easy and fast. You can keep track of all your data you downloaded. A good way to transfer to the next system when the time comes.

This was a great buy to add storage to my PlayStation.

Excellent item for your PS4 and can even be used on the new PS5. Anyone with PS knows how much data the new games take up and know that you need extended storage unless you just want to continue erasing and reuploading games every tine you wanna play an old one and that takes forever. This storage is worth it.

I use this as a backup drive for my computers, and it works good for that. Can't speak to it's Playstation performance.

This has worked great! Saved so much space on my PS4 & now I can finally play all my games without having to delete some & wait on them to reinstall! There’s no delay or slowness when playing either. Highly recommend!

I’m really pleased with this external hard drive. It was really easy to set up and I was able to store ALL of my games on it. I now have 2 tb left on the external hard drive and almost 1 tb on the PS4, even with the 30+ games I own now stored on the external hard drive.

Plug and play ease, quickly recognized, works great as an external PS4 storage space for the PS5. That way you dont take up precious PS5 hard drive space (unless youce installed an additional SSD)

Bought this for my sons to use with their PS4 Pro. They use it for screen shots and videos. It was so easy for them to set up and use. At 4t it holds a lot of whatever you are trying to store. Follow the instructions and start using in minutes. Great drive!

Works great with PS5. Initially i was scared because it said for PS4 only but once it was formatted you can transfer games from the PS5 to this hard drive!!

Its nice for extra storage but not practical in terms of playing games directly from storage.

Very inexpensive for the amount of storage. Easy to set up and use with my PS4, pretty much just plug and go. There's lots of storage space and beats having to delete and reinstall games.

Excellent Hard Drive that has a huge amount of data that I store. Easy to install and on top of that I transferred the info from another hard drive into this one and the process was seamless. I highly recommend and the extra money is worth it.
