Internally the speed tested out very similar to my other non-Seagate brand portable drives. Using the Blackmagic Disk Speed Test app on my 2019 MBP, the drive performed at 120 MB/s Write and 127.2 MB/s Read. So I am pleased with the performance. The quality of the shell is okay. The case feels like it is just a toy. lol. At the corners I have no doubt that if it is dropped on a hard surface the bottom portion will chip. For me I don't plan to use it as a portable drive. It will remain simply connected to my PS5 for storing my PS4 games. Price. That all depends on you. For me the cost is worth it. Spider-Man is cool. Customizable LED lighting is cool. I like the default blue and SE Firecuda performance. Sure, there are SSD with way better performance, but I tried an external SSD on my PS5. Transferring speeds of games was the same as a HDD. Good Luck catching them in-stock.

It works just fine for that and it’s actually really fast as well. I was able to customize the RBG light at the bottom by connecting it to my pc. Aside from how good it works it also looks great.
