Work for a short time

Owned for 8 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We had trouble getting the bulb to hook up to our WiFi signal but in a few weeks, the bulbs started to intermittently lose the signal and we had to restart them manually. The purpose was to connect them to our Echo system. We eventually replaced the bulbs.

Requires a hub

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I normally use Phillips Hue smart bulbs but decided to try these because they were less expensive. The display showed these to be compatible with Alexa. I suppose it’s my fault for just assuming they would work without a hub, just as the Phillips do. Wrong! You need the Spengler hub even when using with Alexa. I’ll be returning.
