To start off, I have always owned Dysons. After my $600 Dyson cinetic canister vac was about to make me lose my mind, I decided to try this Shark because it was affordable. Best purchase ever and I am obsessed! The first time I vacuumed the Shark canister was full after passing on 1 rug! So gross! This vacuum has literally changed the way I clean my home. The wand is super simple to pop in and out, the attachments are awesome to clean furniture and also small areas like between furniture nooks, trim work, ceiling fans and window sills and it is so versatile! I can use it as a canister vac, a regular vacuum and a hand held. This thing is awesome and I will NEVER buy a Dyson again!

Ok, I'll admit I am a sucker for TV infomercials, but I always do my research before purchasing. I read reviews and watched videos on other sites and I was pretty confident about this product. Mind you I also have owned a Rainbow SE for the past 18 years so I know what a good vacuum should do. I have used the Shark for 2 months now and I am totally impressed with how quickly I can clean my house floor to ceiling with this unit. The Lift Away feature and ample hose and cord length mean less time swapping attachments and more time focused on cleaning. The suction on this is ridiculous, be careful. The dumping of the canister is easy and the only maintenance is washing the 2 filters and getting the hair out of the roller (common on any vac). Everything is plastic so long term will tell the tale there, most people have been happy with the customer service, I have not had to use it yet. I still like my Rainbow SE but I definitely use it less now.

This vacuum really SUCKS! literally it sucks better than any other vacuum I've ever had. It picked up stuff that my other vacuum didn't. It is light and awesome to use. The attachments are great and the lift off feature is perfect for stairs. It gets pet hair amazingly!

I love this vaccum. Easy to use. Only complaint is that is has too many extra pieces that don’t seem necessary. Cleans carpet well.

I've used a Dyson for many years, and have always been happy with it. However, it began to lose suction, so I did some research, and found that the Shark Rotator Pro got much better reviews. After my purchase of the Shark, and after using it the first time, I was sold. It's much better than my Dyson. Really picks up my dog's hair from the carpet. I would highly recommend the Shark Rotator Pro!

I bought this vacuum (NV552) after some research to replace my slowly crumbling Dyson Animal that I bought about 6 years ago. I couldn't be more impressed with the performance! I first vacuumed with the Dyson. Then, I gave this Shark a run over the carpet. I couldn't believe the amount of dirt, dust, and dog hair that this thing picked up! I'm hoping there's truth the the 'never loose suction'. If it holds true, this vacuum will last a long time. I highly recommend this vacuum! Cost is way cheaper than the Dyson and performance is so much better! In comparison, this vacuum also comes with more features and attachments. Although still plastic, the build quality seems much better as well.

After connecting all the parts for the upright operation I was thoroughly pleased with the suction and roller agitation. The upright unit is heavier on carpet and not as responsive as I would have liked. When switching to tile floor without the rollers the vacuum was much easier to move around. I was surprised to find the compact roller attachment had no power source for the roller. The roller activates through the suction alone. Does a nice job on the auto upholstery, two labs for passengers most days. Plenty of attachments, and easy to reconfigure from upright to canister. Great filter system, will need to be emptied regularly to maintain good suction. Typical of bagless systems.

This is the best vacuum I have owned yet! So convenient and easy to use. All the attachments are useful and work great. Perfect for bare floors and carpet and works best for the stairs.

Easy to use , doesn't miss a speck of dirt, light weight

Bought this vacuum for my wife after seeing a less expensive one my daughter had. Wanted more utensils so when I saw this on line I sent for it. First time using it on our just shampooed carpets we couldn't believe the debris from the soap in the pyle of the rug. Along with the fuzz from the rug that the old vacuum missed. Great for stairs and apolstery also with the additional tools. Really a super product. If you think your hour is clean try this and you'll be amazed. We were. And no bags and never looses suction.

Was looking for a lower noise vacuum cleaner which would still have good suction. This one meets those qualifications. Minor deficiencies are that the cord wraps around posts in the handle and the base which keeps you from going to tool mode without first unwinding the entire cord. Also, not self-powered, but light enough that it doesn't need to be. Ability to angle into corners is helpful as well.

Have 2 dogs and was looking for vacuum that would do a good job of picking up the dog hair. Researched several and was looking at a Dyson. Came across the Shark and was in the store looking at when a lady came by and said she had one and it was the best vacuum she had every owned. After talking with her decided we would purchase. Vacuum is light, easy to use and does a good job of picking up dog hair. A nice feature is that the canister can be removed and used to clean stairs without having to mess with the entire vacuum.

I like this vacuum. The accessories and lift away canister is easy to use for stairs/car. Does bare floors as well as carpets and is easy to transition. Not as noisy as most appliances. The dust compartment empties easily and without getting dirt all over the place. The only thing, it doesn't get corners well.

Plus: Way more powerful than my previous Kenmore canister and easy to use. Minus: A bit heavy. Non-retracting cord a bit inconvenient. Every time I went to raise the handle after use, the vacuum started to come apart and I would have to click it back together.

I spoke with several Shark owners and looked at other online reviews before making my purchase. Everyone raved about this vacuum, and I wasn't disappointed.

I love this vacuum cleaner! It's light-weight, very maneuverable, and powerful. My only complaint is that I wish the hose was more flexible and that it extended further for using the attachments. And there doesn't seem to be a separate hose available to purchase that fits to attach to it. To solve the problem, I'm trying to find an adapter that I can use to attach the extension hose from my old vacuum cleaner, but so far, I have not found one that will work with the inside diameter of the Shark hose.

The shark vacuum has impressed us with excellent suction, way better the the Hoover Windtunnel it replaced along with some very handy attachments to use around the house. I really like the attachment for cleaning a hard surface floor and can clean the floor much more effectively than a broom. It is also lighter and easier to carry around than the previous vacuum we had.

I weighed my options and clearly this vacuum is as good if not better than Dyson but for half the price. I have used it for several weeks and compared to my Hoover- It picked up 2/3 more dirt. Unbelievably light and powerful. It is easy to maneuver around furniture, on stairs and in tight corners. So glad I got it and it was a Best Buy Deal of the Day too!
