Been using a Dyson for years and decided it was time for a new vacuum. I went and read a bunch of reviews and this one was highly recommended. I can tell you it is well worth the price. It picks up more than either Dyson I own, and the versatility to make it a “Tank” sweeper was even better.

The base and brush-roll are narrow. When using the hose attachments with the canister connected to the base, the vacuum tips over quite easily. A longer, less-rigid hose would have been nice for cleaning in this mode. Cleaning while using the cannister detached (for stairs, ceiling fans, elevated furniture, etc) is unwieldy at best. Having to use one hand to hold the cannister means you have to put everything down to remove cushions, move things, yadda-yadda.
The Stratos does clean carpet and tile well, better than the Dyson Ball MultiFloor that we replaced with the Shark.
The Stratos (AZ3002) is not packaged with a dusting brush attachment that every other vacuum that I've ever owned has been packaged with.
This model seems to be better built and more sturdy than a modern Dyson Ball, which is assembled with flimsy, plastic components.
The Shark Stratus is solid mediocre.

Bought after seeing so many commercials. Biggest disappointment ever ... too heavy to lug around, not easy to use, cleans ok but not as good as a Dyson. Thought price discount would make it an affordable bargain, not worth the money.

The suction on it is decent, however, the maneuverability is horrible. There is no rolling joint at the bottom, making it hard to turn. It does not handle turning corners or around furniture well. It keeps dust inside the bin well but feels flimsy and cheap. The previous model was way better and solid.
