I'm a vacuum snob. I research and try out vacuums for fun. But I have come back to this vacuum over and over again; it's incredible. It's deeply powerful on carpet and literally leaves no crumbs on hard floors. The powered lift-away feature gives you the same maneuverability as a stick vac but with the suction of a flagship upright.
My only complaint is that it is, indeed, pretty heavy. But that weight is indicative of the power and quality. Not to mention the rose gold is super cute!

Vacuum is great especially if you are using on bare floors and carpeting / rugs. Very easy to change settings from one to the other. Easy to see how full waste container is and to empty. Cord is long so can reach a large area without moving the plug. The only slight negative is that it's on the heavy side and does have a strong pull - with that said, it does a fabulous job.

Absolutely love this vacuum has the best suction of any vacuum I've owned in my life I love the fact that it detaches and the beater brush can be used separate kinda like a canister vacuum cleaner love love love this vacuum I've owned two and still think they're the best

This vacuum is AWESOME! We have owned several different vacuums (Bessel, Hoover) over the last 20 years but settled with Sharks about 14 years ago. The first one we bought lasted almost 7 years with kids and dogs. So we bought another. It broke (hose cracked in two places) after over 6 years. So, we went out for our third and decided to get one of the top Shark vacuums on the market. This is definitely a step up! Suction is amazing, tools are super convenient, light is a nice added feature, and the mobility is next level. My cons are that it is heavy and that the canister is small (for a house with two huskies). Otherwise, we’re hoping we get at least 7 years out of this one as well!

We switched to this machine from our Dyson canister. For a more reasonable price, it picks up better, holds more before requiring emptying the container, and is easier to maneuver. Time will tell whether it continues for as long as the Dyson (the suction on that is still good, but the beater brush broke and cannot be replaced), but for now, it's excellent.

This is my second Shark upright and I love this thing! My first was a deluxe and it was great but this one is SO powerful and cleans my rugs so good! I also have a Dyson and this vacuum is so much better! I’ll never go back to Dyson again or any other vacuum brand. I love the ease of lift away. It makes it so easy to clean stairs and other things.

This vacuum has been amazing. My wife and I have four fur babies; all with long hair. The amount of hair and debris that this vacuum picked up the first time we used it was both disgusting and awesome. Our home doesn't have any sort of lingering pet odor anymore. The brush rollers are AMAZING!! The self-cleaning brush rolls are really the reason we went with a shark over a Dyson. Like I said, we have four long haired animals in the home, my wife has long hair, and I have medium length hair and there are ZERO strands of hair on the rollers after we vacuum. It is an expensive machine, but I think it is well worth it. It's super powerful, easy to clean, and picks up anything and everything.

Before this vacuum i had a Dyson that i had for 6 months before it died. Then i bought this when i first bougth this vacuum i was in an apartment then had to move in with family in a 4 bed 3 bath housr and both had animal but now it has to keep up with 2 dogs and one cat it dose ot with no problems we have tile hard wood and thick carpet o yeah and in the middle of the desert (Arizona ) it has no problems cleaning and helpjg keep the dust down. If asked if i would buy again the answer is always yes. If you have pets i would suggest getting the replacement pads to help the pads last longer.

I recently purchased this vacuum, and it has completely exceeded my expectations! From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell it was built to last. The suction power is incredible, easily picking up dirt, pet hair, and dust from both carpet and hard floors. I was genuinely surprised at how much debris it pulls out of areas I thought were clean! The different attachments are also super handy for tackling upholstery, stairs, and even the car. Plus, the dustbin is large and easy to empty, which is a huge time-saver. In terms of design, it’s sleek and modern. I love that it’s easy to store and doesn’t take up much space. Overall, this vacuum is a total game-changer, making cleaning so much faster and more efficient. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier cleaning tool! I purchased my vacuum/warranty on 12/16/2021 and it was delivered on 12/18/2021. I got it on a promotion of $130 off. So if you wait, you can get this vacuum for the same cost around that time of the year. I would start looking around the next major holiday which will be Memorial Day.
I was a little skeptical about purchasing a Shark vacuum because I honestly didn't know much about them. I was ignorant to the brand and truthfully, I never cared enough about my vacuum to do research on a new one or any features that were available to me in a new vacuum these days. I thought they all did the same thing. I was happy with my old vacuum until my coworker started talking about his shark he bought for his home. I previously owned a Hoover WindTunnel 2 with a rewind cord that I purchased from BestBuy about 6yrs ago. Great vacuum, but I now know it had its limitation.
My Shark is by far superior in almost every way. I say almost because well...there's really only one thing that bugs me but it's minor.
Suction:
The Shark vacuum is the most powerful vacuum I've ever owned. It pulled so much fine dust out of my carpet that I almost felt disgusted and embarrassed even though it was only my wife, my mother in law, my kids and myself in the house at the time. It was really crazy the amount of dirt it pulled out of the carpet. No one could believe their eyes.
Features:
The number of features are well above my expectations. There's so many features, that I can't type them all here. There's the lift away, brush rollers, nozzle configurations, attachments, suction power, additional attachments you can purchase, complete sealed system...I mean...there's really just too many. I missed some by the way.
Sealed System:
This is by far my favorite feature. It's not the primary reason I went with a Shark but it is the primary reason I upgraded my vacuum. I have a dog and as many of us know that own pets, pet dander can cause sneezing and allergies to act up pretty badly. My old vacuum wasn't a sealed system and would kick dust particles back into the air and I would be sneezing off and on for up to an hour after vacuuming. I thought that maybe the head of the vacuum was kicking up dust. Nope, come to find out it was the non-sealed system. That's all stopped since purchasing this new vacuum.
Lift Away:
I'm highlighting this feature because it is the primary reason I purchased THIS shark vacuum. The lift away feature allows me to convert to a stick vacuum within seconds. We have furniture that we need to get under and we simply couldn't do that with any other traditional vacuum. I didn't want to purchase just a stick vacuum because the canister was never big enough and it was by the handle which makes most stick vacuums heavy after a while.
Attachements:
I won't really go into this because BestBuy lists what you can get, but I will say all the attachments that come with it are listed correctly and they are very worth it!
What Bugs Me:
Well, I'm used to a tradition canister vacuum that agitates the carpet enough to give you those deep vacuum lines. It always made me feel as if I was getting my vacuum clean and my OCD would always force me to give my carpet those vacuum lines to give it that freshly vacuumed appearance. This particular vacuum does that, but it's not as apparent as my old vacuum. This one has a head that rests on top of the carpet and slightly agitates the carpet but it has WAY more suction. I suppose you don't want to just rip into your carpet anyway but, it's just something that I grew used to seeing.
There's so much to actually dive into about this machine that it would take me forever to type it all out, so I'll leave it at this point. I can confidently say that if you need a new vacuum, get this one. It's worth it, even with my OCD not allowing me to enjoy my vacuum lines like I used to.

I like the suction power of this vacuum. It picks up everything. It also has a lot of added attachments which is a plus! I just wished it weighed a little less. but that's understandable considering all it has to offer.

Updated our house with LVP all over and a new white dog. Needed a vacuum that could handle the additional mess and take care of carpet and gentle enough for the floors. Research indicated this was the unit to do the trick and was an upgrade from our previous Shark. I have not been disappointed with the decision so far. Really like the versatility of detaching the canister to get at the hard to reach places and attachments work well in cleaning up the couches. Plenty of power to get the job done and doesn’t blow the hair and dust all over. Feels like I’m cleaning the air as I vacuum. Only possible shortcoming would be the relatively small size of the bin and length of the cord. Best Buy matched the price after it went on sale which is a bonus!

Oh my vacuum had broken having so much longhair in the house I wanted the soft roller vacuum kind of got tired of cutting out all the dog hair and people hair. May sound weird but I waited and waited before I tried it I wanted to see how much dust went and hair I could pick up. Was totally surprised when the dust bin started filling up with things I was never expecting has a deeper cleaning send the older model of the left away and big bonus not one strand of hair wrapped around either of the rollers. Had to empty the dust bin three times as I vacuumed all the furniture as well did a great job and carpet rugs hard floors works very well on fabric rugs without eating them those in neoprene rugs got sucked up right away and I love the fact that you can keep two of the attachments that you use the most write down the machine. The only downside it’s a bit heavier than the older model of the shark lift away.

First off, let me say Best Buy's FREE same-day delivery is incredible. I purchased this Shark Vertex DuoClean vacuum around 12:30 p.m. and it was delivered to my door at 3:10 p.m. I don't live in a big metro area, so it's quite amazing that Best Buy is doing this.
Now, about the Shark Vertex DuoClean. After two thorough uses around the house I can confidently say this vacuum is as advertised. The suction is off the charts. The ease of use, how it glides across all surfaces and turns effortlessly, makes it one of the best, if not, the best, vacuum I've used. Just be sure to have the correct height setting selected to match the surface you're cleaning. Otherwise it will suck up areas rugs and jam the front roller. The only negative I have is the cord management. For the price Shark should have worked a retractable cord into their design. Not a deal breaker, but the cord can get in the way so you have to manage it at the same time you're vacuuming.

This vortex shark vacuum is awesome.
I would recommend this one to anyone who has thick carpet. Only thing I would like to have is a larger size of the dirt holder. I have a pet who sheds and i have to empty it quite often.
