I could not get my Sonus sytem to connect to my internet wireless home system. My speakers would not recognize my sound bar etc. I went back and purchased this transmitter, plugged it in at the router and it basically created a separate wireless router for my Sonus system. Problem solved!

You need this component if you want to add the SONOS SUB and make 5.1 sound. Also strengthens your signal. Good product.

I've been looking at the Sonos system for q long time and finally decided to go for it. With the boost, 2, play 3's and a play 1, the house cranks! Everything is perfectly synced and multi zoning is simple and flawless! Cannot recommend more.

System just wouldn't be the same without this guy. If you're thinking of putting in a Sonos system and are looking for the versiltility of wireless, can't go wrong with this.I can sit by the pool in the back yard and control the speaker on the deck with my phone. Love the entire system.

You can really feel the Sonos experience when setting up the network for the first time. With this Boost, it's just plug and play to get everything working quick and easy. This is great if your system will be in a room without a direct ethernet connection. Maybe it's just my wifi, but I couldn't get the android app to find the Sonos system, which made setup more frustrating than it should have been. Once I switched to the computer controller, it all worked as it should.

I have several sonos speakers room by room and I was having speaker (wifi connection) stability problems. Finally I've decided to add sonos boost to my wifi network and then immediately all speakers start to work perfectly. No more stability problem!

This item was recommended by a Best Buy associate at the store, I was told it was best to use this so it wouldn't jam up your wifi signal and steal your bandwidth from other devices. After using it for some time now I haven't had any issues with that and everything works as it should.

This was an open-box item that has functioned perfectly (and also had no cosmetic blemishes). It has allowed me to establish a Sonos mesh network for my Sonos products that is more stable and far-reaching than my household wifi network. Does exactly what it was intended for.

We have a simple Sonos System with Playbase, Sub, and 2 Sonos One SL Surround Speakers. However there are over 17 devices on our WiFi network in a 3000 sq. ft. house and spread over three floors. What we observed was the Surround Speakers dropping off periodically, just going silent. Did a little research and found that the Sonos Boost can solve this problem by switching the entire Sonos System components to their own (non-WiFi) radio network. Plugged it into an ethernet port on my router, went into the Sonos app and added it to the system and all the Sonos Components switched to communicating through the Boost. The Surround Speakers stopped dropping off completely.

I didn't think I would need the Boost, but with 9 other devices plus 6 different Sonos speakers, I would see my a major difference in my internet speeds. The boost takes the bandwidth that my speakers were using and now I can see a significant change in my internet speed.
