I had issues with connectivity to all of the Sonos speakers in my house. The Sonos ap would sometimes recognize speakers, and other times not. It seemed this might be related to my wifi system. In any case, I bought the Sonos Boost and this made a separate wifi for the speakers only. It works great and I am very pleased. Note that when I connected the Boost to the router, it created a lot of problems with my internet system. But, when I disconnected it from the router and left it on, all is well!

This product seems to be working great. I'm not sure that I really needed is as Sonos speakers were working ok before, but I had too many smart devices on my wifi. This product is working well keeping the speakers online, and helped me move several devices off my wifi network.

We recently bought a house and our internet/cable provider installed a wireless system. We could not get Sonos to hookup Correctly, in order to do so, we had to purchase the boost. Thank goodness it works! That is a lot of money sitting there if you are unable to use it!

Was having issues with signal and sound dripping on and off during music and movies. Bought this Boost and problem never occurred again. Just disappointed we had to spend more money to make the original product we bought work as advertised.

My last one was fried in a lightening storm. The impact was through the ethernet connection not the power line as that was protected. A number of other electronics were affected like the TV that lost the HDMI connection but still powered on and worked.I prefer to use a dedicated unit than using my home wifi so this is great. It reboots itself after power outages efficiently. I have this one well protected with a sensitive ethernet surge protector

I bought this device after experiencing stuttering and buffering of music on one of my Sonos Play 1's. The BOOST stopped the problem immediately by adding a dedicated network to the music. I have two Sonos Play 1s and a Sonos Play 5, all in different rooms and levels of the house.

Sonos outside speakers would continuously lose signal due to poor wifi in house. Read the reviews and decided to purchase the boost wireless transmitter and has done the job quite well. Extended our wifi signal to backyard which was needed.

Plug in to router, perform setup in the Sonos app....boom you're done. Keeps the Sonos related traffic on SonosNet and off of your WiFi.

The Sonos has been a great addition to our stereo system. We have them placed all over the house. It helps with the wireless speaker on the far side of our house. ( and outside) with no plumbing wires! For some reason our fios wifi needs this boost.

    Great System, Minor App Glitch

The performance of the system is great. Being able to split feeds between speakers is awesome and the controller works well to independently change volumes and songs or to match them up to keep continuous sound through the house. The only issue has been a minor Android app glitch that disconnects the system. It only happened once and was corrected by a phone restart. I will be expanding my system in the future.

I have the play bar with Sons 1’s surround sound speakers and a Sub. I also have a beam upstairs. With this Sonos boost it keeps them all connected with no drop or need to reset every speaker. I added a Sonos Move to the surround sound and it keeps it connected with no drop. I have had this for the last months with no problems. I would recommend it if you have more than 2 Sonos speaker products connected.

My Sonos set up kept dropping off my app and I was having to reboot, unplug my devices almost everyday. I do have a lot of electronics, wireless devices in the building - then I purchased this product. It took care of the issues I was experiencing, rock solid connection, very easy to switch back and forth on pairing/unpairing of speakers I have connected to the Amp through a switch...very good purchase.

I initially was not going to get this piece of the system, but I so glad I did. It is the piece that creates the self contained network and does not take from the WiFi that the rest of us are using in the home. I'm very pleased with the entire Sonos system.

Solved my issues, I was having with my system! Was able to make my own network dedicated to Sonos speakers only. If this helps -- My apartment, is 2 floors. a total of 17 sonos products dispersed through the home. (2,500sqft) ((concrete floor and metal studs)) -- it fixed the issues I was having. Mainly audio dropping out, or products disappearing from my sonos app. Not anymore, thanks to the boost! Super easy setup, too!
