Highly recommended. 10+ Sonos products in the house, and this little device improves the reliability of the Stereo pairs, and 5.1 setups. Sonos Move does not connect to this however, and connects directly to the home WiFi.

Sonos Boost. This is the only solution if you are having cutting or dropping sound on your Sonos system within your wireless network. It creates it's own network "Sonosnet" for all your Sonos device. This is a must have.

Easy to setup. Sonos speakers would not stay connected using the wifi. Once I added the boost to to the office, all of the speakers connected and stay connected.

    Made the problem worse

Bought a Sonos Port to connect to my existing radio/CD system and it works great with all the Sonos speakers I also bought. Only problem I've had was playing Spotify (available through the Sonos app). Only then when starting play, not all speakers begin at the same time, some some take a little while to begin. All speakers are in sync once they play, its only getting them to start together. Called Sonos, and was told its because of my router and satellites connecting differently to the speakers, and the solution is to buy this. This is supposed to create a dedicated wifi for all the sonos speakers. Well... That didn't work out. In fact the problem got worse such that now speakers dropping in the middle of songs. Returning this today. Going to try an upgrade to Wifi 6 router system and see what happens.

Thank you for taking the time to review Boost! Sometimes you have to power cycle the speakers so they they will know to communicate with Boost, and not still try to look for you previous network. Check out this link on our support site (step 3 specifically for you at this point) https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3209?language=en_US

What's happening more than likely is that the players are still looking for the network you were using and just need a little encouragement (power cycle) to locate the new network created with Boost.

We hope this help, or if you have already purchased the new router, we hope that helped as well. We offer lifetime support (not to be confused with lifetime warranty) with our products, so we're happy to help you with any set up questions you may have at sonos.com/support. Thanks again! john.milton

I bought this to expand my signal, but didn't need. It is best to get a good router and or connected to the ethernet port.

Easy setup and works great. Allows constant stable connection between Arc and SL Ones. Looking to add Sonos sub to complete surround system. Boost allows for an independent wifi network so speaker sync/connections are uninterrupted.

Creates its own network for your Sonos products. If you can’t plug a speaker into an Ethernet port to create Sonosnet, then this is worth it. If you can plug in a speaker to Ethernet, this is not necessary, as it does the exact same thing.

Was having some issues with my Sonos speakers playing on my home router. Then I found out about this device which creates its own network for the Sonos system. The minute I set it up the issue went away and has worked flawlessly.

Very dissatisfied with how often I have to re-sync this system to my phone in order to use all the features. We have had the system for a few weeks and have had to re sync at least 4 times already. With how much we paid for the entire system it should be more reliable.

I replaced the Sonos Bridge with the Boost. I can't quantify the difference, but the response seems better. I move a couple Sonos speakers around regularly and when I plug them in they connect into the network faster than under the Bridge.

With all of my smart home devices, I had a problem with my Sonos sub cutting in and out. The Boost creates a separate WiFi connection just for your Sonos products and I haven’t had any drops in connection since!

I had hoped this would solve the issue of my Sonos speakers not staying connected to my WiFi. I am not sure if the issue is the equipment or the app, but I did stop using the app and play directly from the music service instead and it is better, but I do seem to lose connection to some of my devices at least once per week.

Worked for my situation. Dinged one star, because it is marketed as a fix all for all Sonos issues. Folks having connectivity issues with their Sonos system may find this device useful. Keep in mind will not help all situations, most likely the reason that this can be easily found open box.

I have no complaints as of this writing I have not purchased the two surround speakers to go with this system, which was the reason for this purchase. If you have good WiFi otherwise. No need to buy this unit.
