This would be good if you had a small house with bad WiFi. The single got choppy and my own WiFi was way better then this device. Buy this if you are going to put one on every floor or if you have a small house or bad WiFi but that’s it.

Don't waste your money. It made absolutely no difference with the performance of my Sonos speakers. I love the sound quality of the Sonos speakers but the functionality of the speakers can use a lot of work.

Hi, and thank you for this review! The Boost is designed to create a dedicated Sonos mesh netowork for your speakers. However, if your speakers are set up on wifi already, there may be some additional steps in making sure your speaker are getting a signal from the Boost, and not still relying on your wifi network. Installed it directly into the Ethernet port on the router, soon after problems started. Our wifi was dropping connections to equipment left and right. After disconnecting it the problems stopped. Nobody warned us that some type of interference might result. I’d give it one star but I’ll add another since we couldn’t conclusively test whether or not this was the culprit but it sure seemed that way. There was also no noticeable improvement on the performance of my Sonos speaker connection.
I foolishly threw out the box so now we are stuck with this thing and out $100. Pass on this.

Hi Alex, thank you so much for your review. Sonos Boost can be beneficial with certain Sonos setups, and other systems works best without a hardwired ethernet connection. If you would like, please reach out to Sonos support and they can diagnose if your system interference is coming from a Sonos product. Sonos.com/support

I do not see the benefit of this unit called a boost over the old unit which I do not remember the name. They work approximately the same. I have noticed no boost in distance gained and all the speakers still show up on my network. So what is the benefit?

I was roped into purchasing this because the wireless speakers kept dropping out. Even the manufacturer told me that I did not need this. Using the help from the manufacture I was able to get the speakers to work. Recommendation is stay with Bose vs Sonos and don't listen to the guidance from the store. Do your own research.

Sonos used to be easier and locking out a lot of older hardware the way they did is making me want to invest in the system. Also it doesn‘t allow connecting to username pssword wifi account like they are used on university grounds.

I give it three stars because it really not bad but only good if your wifi is weak in area not a wifi booster but just for unit that loses connection has a better. I returned it no use for it.

I purchased this to support my Sonos system. I have had no issues. So does that mean this is doing its job? I have good wifi coverage in my home so not sure if needed. I could take off=line to test but why mess with a good thing?

I continued to have problems with my Sonos units. I have about 10 units in 2 story house. I was hoping the Boost would solve all the drop-out and problems with system. It didn’t help at all so I returned it. Best Buy was great about an easy return.

Very Hard to hook all my speakers up to this Boost Transmitter. I ended up just connecting one speaker to the the wifi and all my other 8 speakers seemed to sync perfecty after the Boost was disconected. Very disappointed!

Expensive Wi-Fi extender, the worst part about Sonos is having to pay$100 to expand your coverage, isn’t always easy to setup the first time.

I'm a big fan of Sonos speakers and not sure this purchase was needed for my system at this time, but purchased on sale and was a good deal.
