The boost is supposed to be a bridge from my router to the other Sonos speakers but they all still connect individually slowing my WiFi.

Hi, and thank you for your review. Sometimes the players do not automatically connect to the Boost. Your best bet is to wire an existing product to the network via ethernet first. Then, add the boost wirelessly, and swap the wired speaker for the boost. We hope this helps! Please reach out to us at sonos.com/support if you need any further assistance getting your players on you Boost's mesh network. We're always happy to help! john.milton

Thanks for the review! In general, making sure your WiFi has a strong and consistent signal throughout your home will make not only your Sonos system work great but the other devices in your home will appreciate it as well! The Boost is designed to activate and strengthen a Sonos system that is using Sonos' mesh network. john.milton

    Easy to setup

This transmitter was so easy to setup. It hooked in seamlessly to my home network. We have a few speakers in the house, and even when running them all on separate stations, we have seen no draw on our wifi speed. We have had no issues with the speakers dropping out, regardless of where they are located. The device is small enough to tuck away in a small corner of the desk, yet powerful enough to reach throughout the entire house, and outside.

Garbage. Doesn’t work. Will be returning. Why wouldn’t you just buy a true smart home system... stuck with this cuz my home has a native Sonos system. Impossible to get Sonos on the phone. One of the worst experiences I’ve had in any product in my lifetime, and I am fluent with technology.

Just as every other Sonos component, the Boost is easy to setup and expands your Sonos network to eliminate any potential dead spots or weak signal area within your home or outside. Highly recommended to those with a larger home.

Sonos is very pricey... for every product it sells, but it is GREAT product. This little device is not required with a Sonos set up, but it makes set up a breeze. Technology as it should be... easy!

picked up the SONOS sub and playbar, and had to get the BOOST as well. got the mount to go with the playbar and was incredibly impressed with the sound quality and user friendliness of both operating the speakers and installation of each individual piece. the wall mount kit adds a nice touch and makes the playbar look very sleek as well. great package altogether and well worth the money.

    Eliminated Interruptions & Pops

I had a small problem with sporadic pauses in the audio from watching Television content. I think that I have an excellent router and am not in a large place but this definitely helped eliminate what issue(s) I did have with the Sonos. I have three Play 1s, one Play 3, one Play Soundplay, and one Subwoofer. I'd recommend it if you have multiple devices, especially the Soundplay. If you're making the investment into Sonos - just spend the extra $100.

It's a Winner! Fixed Interference Issues

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The Sonos Boost has fixed everything for me. I've been using Sonos products for about 7 years and love it! My favorite invention of all time. I have 4 Play:5's, 1 Play:1, and 2 Connects. Everything worked flawlessly except when I had my Living Room Connect grouped with 2 of my basement Play 5 speakers. There was an interference problem that caused the living room Connect to drop out. I never figured out what was interfering with the communication between them. The BOOST cured the interference issues, and now everything works perfectly. At first I was skeptical of the Boost and doubted it would fix my interference issue, but out of desperation I decided to try it and I'm so glad it works!!

Just what the doctor ordered for my Sonos system. Dramatically improved signal to multi-room set-up and enabled features that make the system work more efficiently overall. Highly recommended.

Had to buy this to have a SONOS component connected to my router and enable surround sound via a SONOS AMP and non-SONOS speakers. If you want to do a similar arrangement, this little guy will save you from having to run CAT 5/6 from your SOUND BAR to your wireless router (my router is really far away in the house and cannot be moved). https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2248/~/setting-up-connect%3Aamp-as-surround-rears

This unit did a great job to remove the wifi load for my 4 sonos speakers by creating its own "mesh" network. It helps significantly.
