Just bought a new home. Thought this might be a good alternative to built in speakers. Was I ever right. Amazing sound. Better than ceiling speakers I had in my last home. I am not very techie. But this was easy to install. My wife loves it. We play her Spotify adjust volume with my phone. I don't understand it. And I don't want too. I just love it!!! Now we are thinking a Sonos sound bar for the basement. Just an amazing product. Not only recommend to a friend but would purchase for a friend

Updating from a Bose Lifestyle 38 system. First, the ease of set up is worth every penny over the old school of running wires everywhere. Second, the speaker blend into your décor and don't look bulky and ugly like old speakers. Finally, the sound in amazing. I was blown away with the quality!!!!

I was a bit hesitant to buy this because of the complaints about Alexa. While it is not perfect, the Alexa app works very well for me. I primarily use this speaker for Pandora. This little speaker gives excellent sound to my main living, dining, & kitchen areas. My mom liked it so much that she bought one, also. Definitely go with this speaker over the Play 1 because the convenience of speaking your station and volume requests is well worth the few extra bucks.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I picked this up at Best Buy's Black Friday sale. The built-in Alexa is short on features, missing Drop In and a few other minor items - expect basic functionality and you'll be happy. The sound is great for the size and the connectivity options are outstanding. I've linked this with all of my home automation systems with almost no issues. Setup happens through the app, which is just like having a helping hand at every step. Unfortunately, there's a ton of more advanced options available that you'll have to explore and learn about on your own. Now I'm waiting for the prices to drop again to pick up another one or two.

Great sound and easy setup. The Alexa works good but can’t do all that an Echo can (no phone)

This new Sonos speaker has tremendous sound. The Alexa feature is really cool. Once spotify is added for voice commands this product will be supreme.

I purchased my first Sonos on Black Friday. A Playbar. My TV was next to my Ethernet router, so I hooked the Playbar up directly. The Playbar has 2 Ethernet ports, which made the process easy. Router to Playbar, Playbar back to router. Very impressed with the interface between Alexa Dot and Playbar, and decided to get a Sonos One for the den. Had an Echo in that room, but decided to pay the extra cost over the Play 1, to eliminate the clutter of 2 devices instead of one. Up and running in under 5 minutes. The Sonos software is fantastic.
With the dot or echo, you have to specify the designated room to have the device play through the other Sonos devices. Otherwise, it will play through the much lower quality Amazon devices.
With the ONE, it automatically plays through the Sonos.
A perfect marriage.of Amazon and Sonos.
If Sonos and Alexa never married, I would not have purchased a Sonos One for the den. Using the Echo Dot to control my Playbar, allowed me to see the merits firsthand. Also, after getting Sonos, I added Amazon Unlimited. Before Sonos I didn’t want it for the poor audio quality Echo devices. So merging these devices caused me to give money to both Sonos and Amazon.
I have read that having one Sonos directly connected to Ethernet, creates a Sonos wireless network that facilitates connections. If you get the Sonos One, and don’t have my ease of installation, that may be why.

-Sounds awesome. Great range.
-It's nice that it's wireless and can be placed anywhere in your room to suit your needs.
-The sound of this thing is worth 5 stars alone.
-The initial setup was a breeze. But I had a major problem when I got a new router for my internet and had to switch all my Sonos to the new network. I'll go more into this later.
Here's where it loses a few points:
-The price. I use them primarily as surround speakers for my home theater. Kinda pricey for rear surrounds, but for the sound quality, and as long as it lasts a long time, it'll be well worth it.
-They work off of wifi and not bluetooth. Now maybe this is the best thing these days. But I had a very hard time switching everything to a new network. It took me over an hour on the phone with tech support to get everything back up and running correctly, and I'm somewhat tech savvy myself.
-The Sonos app is not easy to use. Too much going on. It takes about 5 sub menus to adjust sub and surround levels.
-The Alexa functions don't work well with other Alexa devices. Now, I didn't but these for Alexa, but I did want them to connect to my other Amazon Alexa speakers when I play music in my Everywhere Group. So far I can't get this to work.

I love the Sonos One speakers. I have 3 plus 2 Sonos Play 1, Soundbar, Subwoofer and Sonos Play 5. Also have the Sonos Connect upstairs tied into my hi-end audio system in my mancave. The entire Sonos ecosystem makes for great sound throughout the house. Easy to operate and give great sound. The only issue I've had is getting it tied into Alexa. That's not working yet.

I have 2 Sonos ONE's as part of my Sonos 5.1 surround sound system. The speakers on their own sound great and provide full, rich sound for a small speaker, the bass is pretty good for a small speaker. as well. I have been very happy with my purchase and will likely buy more speakers to add to more rooms in the future. I am very happy with the purchase so far.

After my first purchase of one of these speakers, I became quite hooked on both their size, sound, and Alexa integration. After a short period I have acquired two more for other rooms in my home giving me rich sound throughout my home. Using an iPhone you tune the speakers to their environment so that no matter where you are standing in the room, the content sounds equally amazing. These speakers will stream practically any media including content from your phone. They are truly great products, and the phone app keeps your entire system (or one of them) updated continually. The ONLY real caveat I have with the system is if you should have to move one of them, you must retune it to the room's acoustics again, or the sound will not be as good as it can.

We bought these speakers to add to our existing system. We already had two Play One speakers and the Soundbar. These new speakers allowed us to move speakers around and have music throughout the house. The ease of Alexa has also allowed us to enjoy the music with very little effort. No need to pick up a device to play music, just tell Alexa!

I have eight Sonos speakers in my home and love them. The sound is incredible, the speakers are easy to set up and navigate with the Sonos app. They Alexa in the Sonos one takes some getting used to and karning the commands. I think the longer we have it, we will get used to her commands. The only issue I have seen so far is playing multi room misic. You have to group the speakers in the Sonos app before okaying music by alexa to play multi room. Wish you could just tell Alexa to group then.

Easier to set up than previous Sonos speakers. Fills a room with great sound, and as with all the rest of the Echo/Alexa products, it's very usefull. The only caveat, is that it can only stereo pair with another Sonos One w/Alexa, not the regular Sonos Play 1

I started with just one of these, and was so impressed with the sound quality, the overall quality, and how easy it was to set up and enjoy quickly. Now, two weeks later, I have a surround system in the theater room, and Sonos Systems in two other rooms. It is so great to buy a high tech product that works perfectly right out of the box with no glitches and no hassles..... other than I am having a little difficulty getting full voice audio control with Amazon Alexa.

My first SONOS

I was looking into SONOS for my new place. I knew they were a good company based off hearing my friends system and his rave reviews. So I started with a ONE because it had Alexa built in and I was wanting to try the whole voice thing for the first time. If Alexa is your primary reason for purchase, you will probably be better off getting an Amazon device for more Alexa functionality. I use the basic Alexa functions so far and it does what i need it to do. Music functions such as volume, pause, play, next track, music source. Weather info is pretty cool too. If you're like me and are going for quality sound, SONOS is the way to go.
WIRELESS audio through my home network is really the reason I started with SONOS and I'm completely happy I did. The ONE sounds great as a stand-alone in smaller areas. I have one in my master bathroom (yes, they are humidity tolerant). You can also pair two together in a true stereo set, L+R, which works well in a medium space. Overall, it's a great little full range speaker or you can add to your SONOS system in whatever array suits your needs.
