its okay but not worth the retail price

For something designed with the PS5 in mind, you would think it would recognize another Sony product instantly instead of waiting almost a minute to find a connected device. The screen is kind of dull in color. My sony bravia from 2018 has better visual quality in my opinion. I think paying $500-$600 would be justified but not to full retail.

Make sure that all connections are secured. It is also recommended to use a High Speed HDMI cable. Sometimes cables are the easiest cause for concern and fix most issues. I get 120FPS for MW3 with an excellent HDR picture. My 1 negative, From time to time upon startup I only get 1/2 Screen. It requires a power on and off to usually take care of this. No issues during gaming.

Never wakes from sleep via USB-C without turning off then on again manually. That only seems to work with HDMI. Using as a temporary solution until I find something better.

It's unfortunate that you are not having complete experience because of those issues. Your feedback regarding the blooming, viewing angles, and sound of the built-in speakers are extremely important to us and is very much appreciated. Make sure that all connections are secured. Sometimes cables are the easiest cause for concern and fix most issues like a delay to wake up from standby mode or black screen. Also, use cables suitable for the type of video signal:
- When connecting to a DisplayPort: Use a DisplayPort 1.4 cable.
- When connecting to an HDMI terminal: Use an HDMI 2.1 (Ultra High Speed) cable.
- When connecting to a USB Type-C™ (USB-C) terminal: Use a DisplayPort Alt Mode cable.
To reduce the blooming or halo effect, set the Local dimming to Low or Off. Note: The setting may cause the whole screen to look washed out.

This monitor is a perfect pair with the PS5, the 4k resolution and high refresh rate showcases just how powerful this monitor and the PS5 both truly are. the front leg of the stand that the monitor sits on even resembles a PS5, making it very aesthetically pleasing to your setup!

PS5 games look fantastic and I am happy with this purchase. One thing to note is that you need a windows computer to update the firmware of this screen so one thing to keep in mind for Mac users.

Loving this so far with my only issue being the change between hdr and sdr when changing games. Screen goes black for a few seconds but I am missing a setting

We also understand your concern when switching SDR to HDR content. Switching content formats or HDMI ports for HDCP handshake will cause the screen to quickly do this because the monitor is adjusting for the higher bandwidth signal. Mostly this is seen when going from an SDR signal to HDR signal. This is normal.

For Sony this felt like a pretty cheap make for a 900 dollar monitor. Since it is a gaming monitor I’m guessing they expected users to be only wearing headphones? Would have been a 5 if Sony took the time to make a better set of speakers for the monitor. I couldn’t connect a wireless Sony speaker to enjoy better sound.

Sadly my monitor DOES have a small patch of blueish purple pixels in the mid left region of the screen that’s only noticeable during dark screens of certain games but it’s still there. I wish I had noticed sooner to be able to send it back for a model that didn’t have the pixel issue but other than that it’s great!

Great for gaming not good for work

I love my PS5 and wanted this to work this and support Sony. But I also needed this for work, including writing and emails. My Microsoft outlook text looked blueish and sometimes text when surfing had blue tint to it. For gaming and viewing HDR content it was amazing. Very rich colors and dark blacks. Went with a LG 42" and the text is rich and perfect for work. Didnt want such a big screen but many more positives than negatives. OLED is so much superior if you can make it work. And I only had to pay a few hundred more.

Amazing Monitor

First off let me say prior to buying this monitor I was gaming on a LG OLED 65 inch TV on my PS5 with the best possible settings on the TV that worked best with the PlayStation 5. I wanted to move my gaming setup to my room since the TV is always being watched and I was unable to play. I decided to research monitors and this seemed to be the best option from a lot of sites I visited. I went ahead and got it thinking it wasn’t going to be better than gaming on an OLED TV right?…. WRONG! I was absolutely blown away by how sharp and color accurate my game looked that I was playing (God of War Ragnarok)! This monitor auto calibrates everything when its paired with the PS5 as Sony designed it to do so it was just a plug and play easy setup. I’m very impressed and find is funny that it just put my OLED TV to shame. I’m definitely happy and don’t regret making this purchase at all!

This monitor is fine, I was looking for something with great hdr but that’s not really possible under $1000 and this monitor is not an exception. It has a great picture out of hdr but you can get a similar picture with 120 frames on a cheaper monitor. Plenty of cheaper options out there that will give you the same quality this monitor brings.

Awful signal detection

Sometimes requires a hard reset, unplugging the power, to get it to reacquire a signal. Have never seen anything like this on a monitor before. If you only have a single source, or do not use more than one monitor, then it might be ok.

What a difference! I'm able to see way more detail than ever before in games. Love the stand design and flexibility. No lagging with 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time.
